For this very special bonus episode we welcome Leslie and Stephen Shaw. They wrote a very intriguing book about UFOs, aliens and strange occurrences. We talk to them about their book, “Who They Are and What They’re Up To”, as well as some strange things that happened to Stephen and his family over the years.
Leslie Shaw was a journalist for 18 years. She is semi-retired and still works for the newspaper doing copy editing and page layout. She is a trained artist with a bachelor’s degree in experimental animation and ancient art history.
Stephen is a retired acupuncturist, tai chi instructor and orchestral musician.
They both have a lifelong love affair with the UFO subject.
They are both UFO witnesses and Stephen and his very psychic family have been victims of the alien abduction phenomenon for at least 3 generations.

This week Jane tells us about a spring break gone bad with the case of Britnee Drexel. Britnee disappeared in 2009 and the case went cold for several years. A false report led investigators to believe they solved the case until phone tracking technology proved the case needed to be further investigated to find the real perpetrator, Raymond Moody.
Deklan tells us about Toran Singh, known as Titu. He started telling his parents about interesting memories of his life at a very young age. He knew details about places that a child couldn’t possibly have known about at the time. Was Titu reincarnated from a man who had been murdered?

This week Deklan tells us about dog breeder, Bobbie Jo Stinnett. She was befriended by a woman, Lisa Montgomery, who showed interest in Bobbie Jo’s dogs. Unfortunately, Montgomery wasn’t really interested in Bobbie Jo’s dogs but she was interested in her unborn baby. Montgomery took Bobbie Jo’s life and baby but she was caught soon after and given a hefty sentence, death.
Jane tells us about a man suffering from severe amnesia. He was found unconscious behind a dumpster in 2004. Initially he couldn’t remember any details about his life and he gave himself the name Benjaman Kyle. It took 11 years to discover his true identity, William Powell, but he still hasn’t remembered any significant details of his life before 2004.

This week Jane tells us about the kidnapping of 20 year old, Barbara Jane Mackle. She was kidnapped for ransom by escaped prisoner, Gary Krist, and his girlfriend, Ruth Schier. Not only was Barbara kidnapped but she was buried alive. Krist was caught a couple of days after the kidnapping but Schier managed to stay on the run for months. She was the first female ever to be added to the FBI’s 10 most wanted list. Eventually both of the kidnappers went to jail and Barbara went on to live a good life.
Deklan tells us about Lake Nyos in Cameroon. The beautiful lake has some strange science forming in the depths of it’s waters, with gasses building up at the bottom of the lake. One fateful day in 1986, the gas exploded from the bottom of the lake and killed thousands of people and livestock. Forcing scientists to make some interesting efforts to prevent this from happening again.

This week Jane tells us about the gangs of Chicago in the roaring 20s. The big hitters were the Chicago Outfit and the North Side Gang. During prohibition, all the Chicago gangs were trying to use bootlegging as a key source of income which often caused fights with the other groups. A particularly brutal event took place on Feb 14, 1929 leading to 7 members and associates of the North Side gang getting shot to death. The identity of the shooters has never been solved.
Deklan tells us about another cult, Heaven’s Gate. The leaders of the cult, Bonnie Nettles and Marshall Applewhite, formed it in 1974 but the headlines for the cult occurred in 1997. Members of the cult believed that a UFO was coming to earth to take them to the next plane of existence. So in 1997 the members participated in an act of mass suicide, believing that was how the extraterrestrials would take them away from earth.

This week Jane tells us about a murderous daughter, Heather Mack. She conspired with her boyfriend Tommy Schaefer to kill her mother, Sheila von Weise. Sheila and Heather took a vacation to Bali which is where Tommy killed Sheila. Heather helped Tommy dispose of the body. Both were sentenced in Indonesia to several years in prison. Once Heather was released she thought she had served her time but US authorities decided she needed to serve more. She is now serving time in US prison for the murder.
Deklan tells us about a mysterious item, Die Glocke or The Bell, rumored to have been developed in Nazi Germany. The machine was touted to be an anti gravity device. The existence of the item has been debated for years.

This week Deklan tells us about German mother, Marianne Bachmeier. In 1980, her daughter Anna was kidnapped, assaulted and killed by Klaus Grabowski. When Klaus was being tried in court for Anna’s death, Marianne took matters into her own hands. She shot and killed Grabowski in open court.

Deklan tells us about a set of mysterious UFO sightings in Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia. A few dozen people had similar sightings including a crash into the harbor. Authorities searched the harbor and what was found was very puzzling.
