In 2022, we were wrapping up Clone Saga Chronicles and Spectacular Radio. During that time, Gerard, co-host of both those shows, and I thought we should do a commentary for the Spider-Man 1 20th Anniversary. We had so much fun we thought, why not do Spider-Man 2? So here we are, doing another commentary track for your listening pleasure. This will screw with the legacy numbering, but what the hey. Video edition tomorrow on Patreon. NOTE: I made the mistake of watching it on Disney+ with ads. Sorry. My bad. It will never happen again. Happy 20th Spider-Man 2. You...

It’s the End of an Era here on the Spideydude Radio Network. The Final Episode of Clone Saga Chronicles. This isn’t easy for me to type or write, nor was it easy to edit or even create this episode. We recorded this back in late April or early May and because of that, there will be some dated references. This episode is a tribute to our show, a tribute to the saga itself, and a tribute to the guys whose lives have changed in so many ways. Clone Saga Chronicles wasn’t the first show I did. That honor would be...

The Year was 2002. The world was a lot different then. 20 years seems like it passed in a blink of an eye but in reality, it was a long time ago. Marvel didn’t own the Box Office, Disney had merely discussed purchasing it during the early 1990s, and the Tangled Web of Spider-Man on the big screen had yet to come. Join Zach and Gerard as they discuss what their lives were like at that point, how the picture almost never got made, how it affected the website, and more. Enjoy this Special Commentary on the 20th anniversary of...

After 10 years, we are winding down the show. Back in 2010, Zach guest appeared on the 104th episode of Michael Bailey’s Views From the Longbox to discuss the Clone Saga. Zach always wanted to bring him onto the show, but never felt that it was the right way to do so. However, after going through the list of appearances of Ben Reilly, there was one story that he had never covered: Marvel Vs. DC. In what would be the first trade paperback he would ever own, Zach knew there were three people that he wanted to bring forward: Michael,...

New Episode! Zach is back with the final 2000s episode of Clone Saga Chronicles. He covers why it’s been a while since we last saw an episode, mentions some changes in regards to his past associations, and of course in this go-around, he is covering the 2015 Spider-Verse storyline, which has a lot of Ben, Kaine, Mayday, and Peter Parker. Zach’s focus is on Ben and Kaine aspects of the story, as the Mayday Mondays Gang covered it in their 10th episode. I would encourage you to listen to both, as it gives a more complete picture. ITEM: We are...

There is a sense of the beginning of the end of this show. Peter Parker: Spider-Man 75 was the first time I had read a comic starring Peter Parker that wasn’t a tie into the cartoon (Adventures of Spider-Man) or a back issue since my very first issue, Spectacular Spider-Man 223. It was an introduction to Norman Osborn that I had only seen in the 90’s show, that leveled him to the top of the food chain in terms of Arch-villains. It’s one of, if not my single favorite issues of Spider-Man of all time, notwithstanding other issues such as...

In 2016, Ben Reilly returned. We hated it. Covered in Episode 62, we discussed the story that brought about the return of the character… and while I hated that story, I attempted to give it a shot, especially when Josh and I interviewed him in Episode 64. So, Zach goes through the 25 issues of the storyline, before jumping into the Spider-Geddon Story Arc that ran from Oct-December 2018. (Effectively catching up from every appearance in Spider-Clone-related stories). So, enjoy the final solo effort, at least for now before we resume our regularly scheduled programming.

Just when you think Zach can’t find ways to discuss Slott Stories, he comes back around to discussing a Slott Clone Epic, known as Spider-Island. Published back in 2011, it had to Jackal doing…. weird things? Yeah, to be completionists, he decided to cover it. But he couldn’t drag anyone else into this one, so he did a solo shot. So sit back and enjoy this episode!

One of the reasons that Blood Brothers (Covered in Episode 50) wasn’t the end of the Clone Saga was because of the crossover that is covered in this episode. Bob Harras’ big X-Men story was morphed into a line-wide scaled event, that gave us that wonderful relaunch of Heroes Reborn. You know, where the Image guys were tasked with relaunching the Avengers and Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America. Things that would be unheard of today. Nevertheless, we see the final issue of Mark Bagley, More John Romita Jr, the Debut of Mike Wieringo, and Ron Garney makes...

What is their reaction to this story? A story...

Back in 1995, Peter and Mary Jane left for Portland Oregon to start over. Peter then lost his abilities, and subsequently returned to NYC. They Left back in Episode 24, briefly before returning at the end of the Media Blizzard Arc, covered in Episode 42. This was originally supposed to have the Baby being born here, but as you’ll learn, that was axed. The story behind this mini-series is almost as interesting as the story which was brought forth. This is the mini that covers their time there. Joined by Big Al, Zach and him tackle the Not-So Final Adventure.
