In today's episode of Conversations with Founders, I sit down with Bonnie Langedijk. Bonnie is the founder of media platform HURS, a community centric platform which tells the stories of leading women, offering smart content through a style lens. As a founder, Bonnie’s ambition is to fundamentally change the women’s media landscape. It has been her innate understanding and connection to today’s woman, that led her to the realisation that a digital home for women to connect and enable intelligent conversations over their love of art, design and style didn’t truly exist outside of their own micro-communities. And so, HURS was born.
Growing up in the Netherlands, creativity and storytelling were a part of Bonnie’s life from day 1, with both of her parents working in the advertising industry. After studying International Media, she worked for several Hearst publications, before relocating to London. There Bonnie established herself as an in demand creative consultant and art director, working at NET-A-PORTER as Deputy Global Styling Editor as well as with a variety of other brands and media houses, from AERON to L’Officiel, Farfetch to Vogue Netherlands.
Bonnie launched the media platform HURS in April 2022 and has seen tremendous growth. In this episode we dive into her journey to entrepreneurship, the HURS community and the plans for future expansion.
