She started her freelance career in editing, proof-reading and copywriting in 2019, and has since gone on to work with international and national authors, organisations, and committees.

    The Durban Review selected her poems W.O.M.A.N - Warrior of Man and Nature, and A Foreigner for publication in their first women’s anthology: ‘Drumbeats from Africa’ (2019). Chasing Butterflies, a poem that explores death, and grief was selected for publication in a women’s empowerment book: Womandla! (2019).

She found her passion for rich, dignified and original patterns while studying Design for Textiles. Her work is often inspired by different concepts of culture, tradition and storytelling, focusing on patterns and textures. She uses a range of painting techniques to create wallpapers that are full of depth, detail and rich in colour.

She uses this as a driving force to encourage women’s participation in sport. She believes sport provides an open door to positive transferable values such as commitment, resilience and leadership. Hina uses sports to inspire social change by educating individuals, fighting inequality and bringing people closer. She believes that her purpose is to lift women up and help them find the tools that they need to live authentically as who they are.
