Birthday brain fog is real peeps! This week on 'Don't Make Me Call Her,' I'm turning 52 and struggling to form coherent sentences thanks to perimenopause. Plus, I'm unleashing my annual rant about the 'Happy Birthday' song – you know, the one that makes me want to hide under a table? (Yes, I gagged a waitress once. It's a long story.)
I'm also celebrating Anthony Hamilton, the ultimate F1 dad - love Papa Ham! Also diving into the glorious fun of East vs. West parenting styles. And of course, 'What's For Lunch?' is back, dialing up a local friend for some midday meal inspiration. Tune in for a candid episode filled with personal 'stupid' stories, parenting insights, and a whole lot of laughter!

Oscars madness! For this second episode, we're dissecting Hollywood's biggest and most self absorbed night, the Academy Awards. Frankly, I'm shocked no one mentioned a certain President's tiny hands. Missed opportunity! Timothée Chalamet's yellow suit: genius or a crime against fashion? Is Mick Jagger the new Bob Dylan? Plus, the Australian TV delay: are we living in the Stone Age? And the internet's rage over Mikey Madison's win over veteran Demi Moore? Seriously, can't everyone just chill? I bet you were secretly waiting for Will Smith to storm the stage (no more bitch slapping, please!). Join me and Jason as we rant, rave, and give our useless two cents on an award that shouldn't matter to us, but it does (at least to me, because I love the movies). Tell me your thoughts on my new segment, 'What's for Lunch? What's for Dinner?' where I dial up my mates to find out what they're eating and hopefully get some meal inspiration.
PS. Please let me know whether you think Jason looks like Jeff Goldblum. Comments below or DM me on Instagram!

Back for more, are we? "Don't Make Me Call Her" returns for a second series, because apparently, I haven't scared enough people off yet. This new series, I'm dragging my husband, Jason, along for the ride as we attempt to decipher the mysteries of biracial marriage. Think cultural differences, relationship squabbles, and in this first episode my burning question for Aussies: "Why are your feet so dirty?" Plus, I'm introducing a new segment called "What's for Lunch/Dinner?" As a couple, we've asked each other this question about 10,220 times in our fourteen years of marriage, so forgive me if we run out of cooking ideas. This is why I need help from my mates all around the world to give me inspiration. This series, we're keeping it short and sweet for easy listening. Enjoy!

Gong Hei Fat Choy, everyone! It's Chinese New Year, Year of the Snake! I go full-on superstition mode—because obviously, the fate of your entire year depends on whether you wash your hair on the first day (spoiler: DON’T).
In this last episode of this first series, Jason and I break down all the CNY dos and don’ts that sound completely mental to non-Chinese folk. No taking out the bins (unless you fancy throwing your fortune away), No sweeping the floor (unless you enjoy financial ruin). Oh, and if your Chinese aunties tell you to wear red pants for luck—just do as you are told. We also talk about Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology - I ain’t no Feng Shui Master but I’ve met enough of them to share some wicked and bizarre stories.
So grab your red packets (lucky money) and prepare for some CNY chaos and may your WiFi signal be strong all year! (Especially in Australia because it’s shit!).

Sir Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari? If you didn't know...WTF have you been? Yes I am talking Formula One again! This week the 7 time world champion, made his debut test drive for Scuderia Ferrari and the internet imploded. Lewis dropped a Godfather-esque pic from Ferrari HQ in Maranello, Italy and the Tifosi went nuts!
To dissect this historic F1 moment, I've dialed up my F1 mate Brad Coleman. We'll be diving deep into the 'Lewis Effect' and how it's about to shake things up in Maranello. Do you think Charles Leclerc is shitting himself right now?
Let's be honest, it is never too late to pick up a language. I'm frantically trying to learn Italian. Forza Ferrari!

The perks of having globe-trotting friends? Lotza stories to share! This episode, I’m dialing up my ‘baby-faced’ little bro, Daniel Kong. Originally from Brunei but now living in London, he’s a former journalist/writer who worked for Monocle magazine, Lane Crawford, and the South China Morning Post. We met in Hong Kong and became fast friends.
For episode 8, we dive into our childhood shenanigans, racism in Australia, coming out to his parents (very scary!), being bullied in high school for being gay and Asian, and of course, the classic English weather. Daniel may be in his 30s, but he’s already a big deal—he’s the Global Head of Brand Narrative for Deciem Beauty Group. What a clever little shit! Love him! Don’t forget to listen until the end to learn some new Cantonese slang with me and Professor Theo.

Our Wedding Anniversary Special Episode: As you can imagine, I’m not your typical wife who makes a big deal about anniversaries or gives a toss about birthdays—it’s just not my style (blame it on the perimenopause brain fog). Fun fact: neither of us can even remember our marriage proposal. Was it at a French restaurant in Sydney (my version), or was it in the hotel swimming pool in Melbourne (Jason’s version)? Who the F knows! This perfectly sums up the gloriously imperfect couple that we are.
In this episode, don’t expect any lovey-dovey clichés. Instead, we’re keeping it real, sharing the things that annoy us about each other, and celebrating the chaotic 16 years we’ve spent together. Join us for some honest banter and wicked laughs—you might even relate!

This week on Don’t Make Me Call Her, I spill all the festive tea about my Christmas family vacation in Melbourne, Australia! Think cool wine bars, wicked restaurants, and neighborhood gems you need to visit. We also made a cultural pit stop at Yayoi Kusama's massive exhibition—yes, the one with the polka dots that’s lighting up everyone’s Insta feed.
But that’s not all, I took on the unofficial role of "MI5 agent" in the bustling holiday crowds, keeping Melbourne safe one intense eyeball at a time (you’re welcome, Australia). I also share my germaphobe Survival Kit: In-Flight Edition.
If you’re looking for travel inspo, foodie tips, or just want to hear about our adventure and joy of exploring a city during the holidays, this episode is for you.

In this episode, I’m catching up with my old friend Pascal Anson—artist, product designer and the man who made British Airways planes look mega cool for the London Olympics. Pascal also hosted a popular BBC show- The Big Paint Challenge. After 30 years of friendship, we share our weird lingo that only we understand. We talk about the blissfully clueless freedom of our 20s, by the way never dye your hair with hydrogen peroxide- BAD idea! Pascal shares his genius design process behind his Stars In Your Eyes lamp.
We also explore life growing up with divorced parents, me as a wicked 007 Bond Girl? (spoiler: abso-F-lutely), his coming-out story with his mum, 90s pop music quiz and modern anxiety. Our chat is authentic, unfiltered and exactly what happens when old mates catch up.

Start your engines, F1 fans! I’m finally unleashing my love for Formula One on my podcast! It’s no secret I’m Sir Lewis Hamilton’s #1 fan—meeting him at a Gucci dinner in Hong Kong, hosted by Wendi Murdoch, was hands down the highlight of my life! (Sorry Jason). This episode is a game changer - it’s my very first video episode! Watch as I make the ultimate switch, swapping my Mercedes hat for Ferrari red. Yes, I’m officially a Tifosi now, and while some may call me a traitor, I call it loyalty to Sir Lewis—where he goes, I follow.
Join me as I dial up my F1 buddies, Brad and Daniel, as we dive into the adrenaline-packed drama of the 2024 season. Whether you’re cheering for Lewis, Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, or Carlos Sainz, one thing’s for sure - we all think the FIA is a joke! Oh, and Michael Masi... you might want to stay off Aussie soil.
So buckle up for a ride filled with racing banter, strong opinions, and of course, more Cantonese slang lessons with me and Professor Theo. It’s “Lights Out and Away We Go!”

This week, I dial up my West London gurl, the fabulous Nadia Monzon Ladas, co-founder of Vessel Gallery in the heart of Notting Hill Gate. Since 1999, Vessel Gallery has been the go-to destination for contemporary art - all curated to perfection.
We stroll down memory lane with chats about riding my BMX with my wicked red hair days, a hilariously awkward naked-in-Japan moment (TMI), the charm of hairy chests and big boobs, our shared love of 80s music, and some good old parenting advice for tackling teen drama.
Stick around to learn some fun Cantonese slang with me and Professor Theo. New episodes drop every Friday, so grab your cuppa and have a laugh! Then call your mates and ask, “Hey, how’s it going?”

Ken is my Malaysian brother from another mother. An international Creative Director, he’s worked with powerhouses like LVMH, Uniqlo, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Monocle magazine. Originally a Perth boy, Ken has spent years living in New York and London, but Covid brought both our families back to the world’s “safest city”—Perth.
In today’s episode, I call Ken to hear about his recent Japan trip, debate the differences between boomer parenting and ours, and compare notes on cross-cultural marriage dos and don’ts (we both married Caucasians).
Ken gets a shock when I reveal how I got even with my Royal Highness mother for her childhood punishments. Let’s just say, I’ve never fit the Asian goody two-shoes-girl stereotype.
Stick around till the end for a Cantonese slang crash course courtesy of me and Professor Theo. New episodes drop every Friday!

For my first-ever phone call, I dial up my amazing friend Tony Ward, who lives in Mexico. Tony’s family moved from Hong Kong to the UK, he shares hilarious tales about his fierce 5’2” mum, who ran their Chinese restaurant like a lady-boss (don't ever mess with Mama Ward!). He shares the emotional yet humorous story of his "coming out" journey, including his mother's attempt to "convert" him with a trip to Thailand—a memory he can now laugh about in hindsight. He also reflects on how having a strong mother shaped him but left him struggling to express his emotions openly. As a mum myself, this conversation was eye-opening, filled with valuable insights and lessons.
We also look back on our drum and bass days—Tony is partly to blame for my dodgy knees after countless late-night dance marathons. Oh, and if you’re keen to learn some wicked Cantonese swear words, you are in the right place. Let the banter begin!
