There are a number of names that are frequently used to refer to indigenous peoples of North America and individual tribes often prefer one over the other. The film Brother Bear is set in post-ice age Alaska and there is no mention of the specific tribe to which Kenai belongs. Indigenous Alaskan peoples can be referred to as Alaskan Natives, Indigenous Alaskans, Aboriginal Alaskans, or First Alaskans.
