  • Well, that's a record anyway - the longest penalty shootout in English domestic football history, and of course Fulham ended up on the wrong side of it. After a frustrating 90 minutes of action against Preston North End at Deepdale, Fulham's heavily rotated XI weren't able to find a winner, and thus ensued one of the most typical stories you could imagine.
We take a look back at the game as a whole, examining the performances of a number of players for better and for worse - Ryan Sessegnon, Reiss Nelson, Rodrigo Muniz, Tom Cairney, Harrison Reed, Sander Berge, Issa Diop, Jorge Cuenca and Steven Benda - before touching on the penalty shootout that dominated the headlines this morning for good measure.
Then we head onwards to Newcastle at the Cottage this weekend - traditionally a game we always struggle in - and take a look at what changes Marco could make, and how we can win the individual battles against a Magpies side that haven't been playing brilliantly, but keep finding results nonetheless. There's a quick email to address leadership in this group, before we finish with a special This'll Catch On written specifically about the Drama at Deepdale last night. "

  • The discussion on this podcast should have been one only of positivity - as Fulham on Saturday were by far the better team against Julen Lopetegui's West Ham, but instead there was an air of frustration after a late lapse in concentration allowed Danny Ings to score a 94th minute equaliser.

In this podcast we dissect Joachim Andersen's return, Raul's well-taken goal, Reiss Nelson's debut and of course, the game management that cost Fulham two points. We also look ahead to the Carabao Cup match against Preston North End on Tuesday.

  • The Thursday Club reconvenes as club football returns, with Sammy and Jack talking about the performances of our International Whites - including a screamer from Harry Wilson for Wales, Fulham vs Fulham as Joachim's Denmark beat Sasa's Serbia, and Josh King captaining the England U19s.
We also discuss the Deadline Day activity that saw Jay Stansfield depart for Birmingham and Reiss Nelson come in on loan, as well as the club's sponsorship deal with IUX, which has been critiqued by investigative journalist Martin Calladine. Martin jumped on with our friends at Fulham Focus for a full interview, which they've kindly let us use a snippet of here, but to listen to the full podcast, which we thoroughly recommend, you can listen here.
Then it's onwards to West Ham. We take a look at how the Hammers have started the season, as well as their new additions; before examining any changes Marco is likely to make ahead of this one. And finally, we finish with a couple of emails, a first This'll Catch On for Emile Smith Rowe, and a chat about the Fulham Barclaysmen of yesteryear.

  • As ever, one of your favourite parts of the Fulhamish podcast has been ‘This’ll Catch On’, a weekly round-up of Fulham chant suggestions, which very rarely catch on. As ever, we've been blown away by the humour and musicality of the FFC fanbase.
To honour all your submissions, we’ve rounded up our favourite ten entries from the past 12 months into a chart. Which song will come out on top as the best of the season?

  • We always knew this would be a game that newly-promoted Ipswich would be up for, however you'd be forgiven for coming away from Portman Road with a feeling of wanting more. Overall, a draw seemed a fair result against Kieran McKenna's well-organised Tractor Boys, and a point away from home is not to be sniffed at in this league. In part one we break down the game and try to analyse what aspects of Fulham's game aren't quite clicking yet.
In part two we answer some of your questions and look ahead to the international break.

  • Fulham are through to Round 3 of the Carabao Cup, where it's been revealed that a trip to Deepdale awaits Marco Silva's Whites. Goals from Raul Jimenez and Jay Stansfield, who struck against the club he was on loan at last season, saw Fulham into the hat for the next round; but the performance left some things to be desired.
We also briefly look at Fulham's win over Leicester in the Premier League at the weekend, before looking onwards to Saturday's trip to Portman Road. Whilst it's a game we can't wait for in terms of fan experience, it's also a potentially tricky game - as it's the Tractor Boys first real winnable fixture of the season, and they'll be bang up for it in Suffolk.
Finally, we take a look through your emails, discussing some of our West London rivals, a potential new signing in Ernest Nuamah from Lyon, and some other bits and bobs, before we wrap things up. "

  • The first win of the season is always a sweet one, especially when it comes from the first home outing. Craven Cottage was alive with optimism on Saturday, after goals from new signing Emile Smith Rowe and Alex Iwobi got us over the line against the Foxes.
Fulham were the better team throughout the game. This, paired with a "feel good factor" around the club, a brilliant manager, and exciting new signings yet to be fully bedded in, and there are many reasons to be cheerful this week.
In part 1 we discuss the game; what ESR is capable of within this Fulham side, the manner in which we conceded, and the midfield conundrum. In part 2 we answer some of your questions.

  • Fulham are back at the Cottage on Saturday, and everything will be right in the world - as long as we take all three points. But will there be any new (or returning) faces in the lineup?
The Thursday Club are back in full force to discuss the latest transfer goings on at Motspur Park, including Sander Berge, Joachim Andersen, and a rumoured move for Lyon's Rayan Cherki - as well as questioning whether there's any chance that a late deal for André could still take place given where Fulham still need to strengthen.
Then in Part Two, we're on to the weekend, looking at how our next opposition Leicester fared against Tottenham on their return to the big time on Monday night, examining whether this is already a 'must-win' game, and answering a load of your emails as well.

  • Friday night's season opener against Manchester United at Old Trafford was definitely a match that Fulham can look back at with some regrets. Some brave openings and neat play was overshadowed by a lack of clinical edge and also another late goal that went in the favour of Erik Ten Hag's side.
In this podcast, we analyse what went right and wrong for FFC up in Manchester, discuss Marco's starting XI and whether they've done enough to keep their place going forward and also look at what Fulham need to do in the transfer window to get the side more balanced for the remaining 37 league games.

  • "We dreamed of Ream, oh what a guy..."
It's a sad day in SW6 as the club parts ways with our very own Captain America, the Cottage Colossus of Tim Ream, whose move to Charlotte was confirmed on Wednesday. There's a little bit of time to pay our tributes to a man who has served Fulham Football Club with distinction over the past nine years, as well as a moment to relive one of the best ever This'll Catch On's in his honour.
Before we get to that emotional farewell though, there's a bit of pre-season to discuss too, so Jack and Sammy are joined by Jack Kelly, who has been covering the games in the Algarve, to get his thoughts on the camp as a whole, the two performances against Sevilla and Benfica, and where Fulham are in our preparations for the season beginning in 8 (!!!) days.
There's also some transfer talk, including the latest on the André saga, with news coming out of Brazil that Fluminense's willingness to put their star midfielder on the market is growing again, as well as some thoughts on where the squad needs augmenting before the window closes at the end of August.

  • A week ago we were bemoaning a lack of any activity whatsoever, and now the Fulham transfer machine is whirring into business. At the end of last week the Whites announced out of nowhere that Ryan Sessegnon was returning to the place that made him on a free transfer, sparking jubilation and nostalgia in equal measure. And earlier this week, it was made pretty clear that Emile Smith-Rowe will be joining the club in the next few days as well - two players once touted as world beaters, still young and with a point to prove, combining at the Cottage next year.
We break down the ins-and-outs of those two deals, and how we see both players fitting into this Marco Silva side, as well as examining where else the squad needs additions, looking at the latest rumours doing the rounds on potential incomings, and discussing the way that transfers now have to operate in the age of PSR.
There's also the live draw for our competition which has raised over £650 for the Fulham Foundation, where one lucky listener is the newly proud owner of a shirt signed by the entire Fulham squad!

  • There is a lack of new faces at Motspur Park, and Fulham's squad looks very thin as we hurtle towards that opening day at Old Trafford. A year ago today, Fulham made the first signing of 23/24, but as of right now, the squad looks a lot weaker than it did at the end of the last campaign.
There is some news - Rodrigo Muniz has taken the Number 9 shirt, which sparks a discussion about his role in the squad ahead of this season; and we get into some of the latest names linked with the Cottagers - Samuele Ricci, Crysencio Summerville, Kalvin Phillips, Scott McTominay, Jota Silva, Alexis Saelemaekers and Jayden Oosterwolde, as well as revisiting the latest on André, which is now firmly a saga.
There's also time to talk about Jay Stansfield and the reported offers from Birmingham for his services, and some thoughts on the Academy as a whole; the latest addition to our pre-season tour which feels like another slap in the face to fans; and the state of the Hammersmith End toilets!

  • In amongst all the craziness of England's run to the Euro 2024 final, there has been some transfer activity at Motspur Park. Sadly, it's not in the direction we like as fan favourites Joao Palhinha and Bobby De Cordova Reid have departed for Bayern Munich and Leicester respectively.

  • In the midst of the Euros madness, the Premier League decided that it would be an opportune moment to drop next season's fixtures, so we sat down to discuss the big days in the calendar, where Fulham look to have nice runs and where things could get a little bit sticky, as well as a Boxing Day derby at the Bridge and a final away game at Legoland.
There's time for a quick chat around Timmy Castagne and Saša Lukic, who both got off to difficult starts at the Euros, before we move on to a discussion about the announcement of the Fan Advisory Board, some transfer news (mostly outgoings right now) and a look at Andreas Pereira's comments to the Brazilian press on international duty - and if they're quite as bad as being made out to be.
