Episode 12 is here! and we have a very special discovery for ya'll.
On our continuous journey in discovering what the Nigerian Gaming landscape looks like, we stumbled on a particular video game development which initially seemed to be heavily inspired by African culture, specifically Nigerian. We just had to dig deeper and what we found out was mind shattering in many forms.
A NIGERIAN MADE video game was in development, and it was being developed using ''Unreal Engine'' to be released on major platforms. In fact, we felt like little children after realizing that their house had won the school's annual inter-house sports competition.
A Nigerian made video game? going by the name, Legends of Orisha: Blood and Water (Legends of Orisha). what are the odds!!!.
And the incredible team behind this gem is an independent Nigerian based game development studio, called Dimension11 Studios. We reached out to the Co-Founder/Gameplay Engineer, Mr. David Olamide and he was humble enough to take out time from his busy schedule to have a sit down with us and tell us all about their journey and this project.
We have to say, we couldn't be more prouder to be Nigerian.

Kenneth AKA @themanfromuncle calls AJ up at an ungodly hour to chat about what has been going on in the gaming world.
From the playstation #stateofplay event to new game releases to upcoming end of year releases.
And for no reason, the topic on xbox gamepass and playstation now came up.
Enjoy!

Another one!
We had on Gamr Africa on this episode to tell us the hidden potential Nigerians have in the gaming industry, even specifically Esports.
Gamr Africa is a company that hosts a platform that allows gamers to interact with each and enables tournament organizers to host events. In Nigeria, they have been responsible for a number of tournaments and events that has brought gamers together, as well as get talented gamers to be discovered. In fact, with their persistent work rate and zeal, Nigerian gamers have been recognized at the global level in Esports, and even seeded in the next global series for FIFA 22.
We couldn't resist the temptation to get in touch and get to know their story.
If you are a gamer and would love to showcase your talents, have the opportunity to register with Gamr Africa and reach the limits of your potential. (link Below for Gamr Africa)

In this episode, GOATPodcast explores a little bit and stumbles on a very interesting article titled "Why Africa is not yet ready for the eSports boom" which coincidentally comes at a time we were seriously asking questions about what Nigeria's involvement is, or even more, what Africa's involvement is in the globally famous competition for gamers.
Why not ask these questions?, with the revenue numbers we are hearing being raked in periodically from the gaming industry alone, and a significant percentage of that generated by eSports, one can only wonder, or even pray a piece of that is coming to Africa's direction.
We had the intention of running with the idea of hijacking the article and extracting useful information to feed our next episode, but we thought, "wouldn't it be a better idea just to (kidnap) the creator of this article?".
Genius right? That's what we do!!
We introduce to you the one and only, Ms. Kolawole Oluwanifemi, an esteemed journalist of Techpoint Africa. Enjoy!

Episode 8 on Deck!!!
In here we talk about some gaming news such as Halo Infinite Launching without the co-op mode which threw the fans into an angry frenzy and then switched into a prolonged trip down memory lane filled with golden moments of the old days where games came to life!...…. Literally.

Back again with the triple threat! Three episode in one week!
In this one, we touched on what we think birthed the so called ''console wars'' and as xbox being accused of not caring about big blockbuster games.
This one is definitely packed with loads of banter! let's Goooooo!!!
-
Yessir! we decided to go back to back with this one, making ourselves proud by dropping two episodes in one week. Awesome!
Here we talk a little about some storage expansion issues going on with the current-gen consoles. Also touched on interviews Mr. Phil Spence, head of xbox, has been taking about his vision where he sees all gamers can be united and put aside the very popular toxic "console-wars" trend. A noble vision but in reality, is this possible?
Listen and Enjoy!!

Back again after a loooong lay off. Much apologies to everyone, especially our faithfuls that has been rooting for us since the beginning. We hope to be more consistent, not only that but also work towards improvement.
In this episode we talking about everything ranging from game news that has been rocking the airwaves. How the new acquisition of Bethesda is being handled by xbox, adding more game developing studios to the ranks feeding the monster gaming service, Xbox gamespass. A little touch the last game exhibition (E3 2020). And how project xcloud (cloud gaming) might be a game changer!.
Enjoy.

Since the reveals of both upcoming consoles, everyone could not resist pitting the undoubtedly biggest players in the console gaming sector. Who can blame them? With all the tasty tech being shown off for both consoles and not to talk about the upcoming games to be released for them.
