Friends, when it comes to our mental health, there are several things around us that affect us and anything can trigger us and make us vulnerable to situations that we otherwise are very much capable of handling.
In today's episode, I host Shubhrata Prakash who is doing some good work in the mental health domain and acts as a "North Star" to people in need.
There are certain gaps created in society over a period of time that are causing distress and mental health issues in the long run. We probably need to identify them and work on them consciously.
I hope you like the episode.
See you Soon.

Sometimes, in life, we go through a road that is very rough and it seems like never-ending. We're not able to visualize how to sail through.
We have several questions unanswered including whether it is going to end ever... We even think of giving up...
But you know what, sometimes nature puts us on to such roads only to make us stronger and emerge as torch-bearers for others and we don't even realize that.
Today, I have brought to you the real-life stories of a couple hailing from small towns, making their mark in the suburbs of Mumbai after being hit in life where they questioned themselves if they would be able to make it again.
Do listen and share your feedback.
I'll see you soon.

When we are kids, we're quite creative. We do what we want to do, we enjoy what we do, and we master what we do... But, as we grow old we start doubting ourselves, our capabilities. We don't do many things that we love. We get into the trap of EMIs, Jobs, Business, Expectations, etc.
Ever wondered why does it happen?
Is it truly part of growing up?
Does everyone go through this?
Well, even though these things are relevant to the majority of people, there are people who make their marks, they become the top 1% of the global population and lead the way for youth.
So what is the difference between us as kids, we as grown up, and we as super successful personalities?
The answer is - Following your heart without being biased and without being influenced by others.
There is a beautiful real-life story and some perspectives on this topic which you can listen to in this eight-and-a-half-minute episode.
I hope it'll make sense to you.

We feel stressed in our lives because of different reasons. Whether it’s work, school, social life, family, love, or anything else, one can get bogged down by all kinds of things. And one of the biggest reasons could be "not being able to get what we always dreamt for".
Due to this, one might want to just take a step back, breathe and ask: “how do I restart my life?”. However, with so many things that could add to the pressure of everyday life, it might seem impossible to relax, wind down, and start fresh.
But, does life stop there?
Lets learn from Naresh Naik who, at the age of 58, resumed his life his way.

As per an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) research, Every 7th Indian man is shaken up by the mental health disorders.
Men are a species who have to handle/ manage several expectations right from the childhood and this does leave them frustrated as they grow giving them the sense of "No one loves me unconditionally, everyone around me needs something or the other from me".
I can't pinpoint one thing about the problem but yes, somewhere as a society we have gone wrong the trend seems to be continuing.
The suicide death rate for men has increased from 18.7% to 23.4%. 10-34-year-old men's suicide rate is the second-highest leading and fourth leading in the case of 30-35 years old.
Today's episode starts with a poem written by me followed by the casual chat with a business leader who interacts with thousands of people across the world.
I hope this cuts some ice.
Stay tuned and see you soon.

A little stress can be a good thing: it can be the motivational push that we need to get things done.
However, sometimes, dealing with stress, especially during exam season can be a difficult thing to do. And, with an estimated 20-50% annual increase of university students seeking help for studies-related mental health issues, it's clear that we're under more pressure than ever before.
In today's episode I invited Mrs. Richa Kumar who is Academic Director of Sanskruti World school & Junior college, ex Principal and mother of two grown up kids.
I'm sure this chat will help in real life.
Enjoy the episode.

घर से मस्जिद है बहुत दूर चलो यु कर ले,

7. Experience poverty voluntarily like traveling on public transport or picking a favorite cloth but do not buy it even after having money to buy it.
8. Ask for advice, not opinion.

We live with people and can not avoid them. Good people around us help us improve our lives, boost our confidence, and enable us to succeed but there are people around us who knowingly/ unknowingly pull us down, label us as something that we are NOT, kill our productivity, and engage us in things that are neither desired nor deserved by us.
It is vital for all of us to identify such people around us and maintain a distance from them so that we can remain focused on our life goals including our relationships, career, and everything else that we want in our lives.
In this episode, I have shared 6 toxic traits of people who need to stay away from our lives.
I hope this helps.

Dreaming of achieving something, working on them, getting stuck, lacking motivation, thinking of quitting, keeping trying, and finally winning over a certain challenge in our life.
Sounds relatable?
YOU'RE NOT ALONE!!

Mind is a very powerful tool that nature has blessed us with but it is like a double-edged sword. The only thing it knows is cutting. We sometimes, need to place the right thing in front of it to let our brain work for us and not the other way around.
I'm sure you'll find this episode useful but in case you don't, please share your feedback with me.

If we want to control our thoughts, positive self-talk is the place to start.
We generally have only two types of thoughts - 1. those who constrict us and 2. those who expand us. No prize for guessing that negative thoughts constrict us and positive thoughts expand us.
And this impact/effect is seen in our physical and mental behavior as well.
In today's episode, I have discussed how to choose the thoughts that provide a little more space for us.
And, there is a surprise for you towards the end of the episode.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Life often puts us into situations where all we see around is "Darkness". We're not able to make the right decisions, we keep failing in spite of being capable and competent.
While my interaction with some 20 odd people, a majority of them said "kabhi kabhi grah nakshatra theek nahi hote hain", a few of them blamed it to someone or something else and there were many other responses as well.
We don't have any control over "how life comes to us" but we, certainly have control over "how we respond to life" when things are not as we expect them to be.
I've discussed 5 ways to keep ourselves going in times of crisis and I hope it works for all of us.

Many a time, we get this feeling of not accomplishing the things that were important to us and we thought it'll be done within the stipulated time. Sometimes the deterring factors could be unavoidable and sometimes well within our control.
In both cases, it leaves a bad taste in our mouths with the dissatisfaction of non-accomplishment.
In this episode, I have discussed a technique that has helped me improve my productivity and I'm sure it has the potential to impact your life positively too.
I hope you enjoy it.

A friend of mine often starts driving while the hand brakes are on. The brakes are released only after realizing that the car is not running properly and heating up.
Don't we do the same with our mind or body often?
We, many a time, try to move up with tons of unnecessary stuff on our shoulders which causes stress. Positive pressure is good but not stress.
It narrows your ability to think clearly, function effectively, and enjoy life. It may seem like there’s nothing you can do about stress like the bills won't stop coming, the expectations from work or relationships will be there, you'll be having limited time to perform tasks etc.
But you have a lot more control than you might think.
In this podcast, I have shared insights on how to reduce stress in our lives.
I hope it helps.

We all have our own insecurities.
Whether we deal with insecurities regarding our weight, our socioeconomic status, our physical appearance, or our job, we all experience the emotions associated with feelings of being insecure.
What can only make our personal insecurities worse, is when other people take advantage of them.
When an individual highlights our weaknesses, especially in a public setting, it can become a person’s greatest fear.
Listen to this episode where I have discussed the ways to cope or deal with it.
I hope this helps.

The biggest dream/ problem or the confusion amongst growing teens is Career.
A large population of Indian Youth aims to build careers in the armed forces and directly/indirectly I was also a part of it.
One of the biggest differentiators between the armed forces career and corporate is that the armed forces career is time-bound in many aspects like you can join defense in a particular age band and have to retire at a certain age.
While armed forces open the door for employment and, the youth protects our country outside and inside; one of the biggest concerns is the youth does not contribute to the economy directly.
For example, almost 1.5 million super talented people who serve the armed forces, if become the entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, politicians, etc. may boost the economy significantly.
I personally know several amazing talents who have served Indian Armed Forces through a short service commission and are now contributing to the economy significantly. But, this facility wasn't available to the junior talents until now.
Fortunately, there is a great scheme by the Indian government to employ, train and enable youth to become more productive and self-reliant. But, there is a lot of confusion around it that needs clarity.
To address this lack of clarity, I have Capt. Shashank Shandilya with me on the show today who simplified several aspects for the benefit of our youth.
Do listen to this episode and share with the youth who are willing to contribute to the country and economy.
I'll see you soon.
