Simon De La Rue and Matt Fallaize react to the conclusion of this week’s 2025 Budget debate as States members backed a plan to introduce a 5% GST from 2027, alongside a new 15% income tax band and reductions in social security contributions.
But with a two-year rise in income rejected, it leaves next year’s spending plans unfunded.
