Hi, here we are, 1 year on … This journey has been far from easy over the past few months since we were last here talking about it (last season) but we’ve made a lot of progress mentally and physically, and we want to share this with you as we believe that seeing other people in a similar situation come out the other side is a massive confidence boost and can really spur you on to start recovery. Recovery is the best decision we ever made, and we hope for nothing more than for you to make that decision too. We all DESERVE food freedom. We love you ❤️❤️

In today’s episode we have Jiya join us! She is so knowledgable about menstrual health, especially in athletes. We talk about the basics of the female athlete triad, her journey with hypothalamic amenorrhoea due to her eating disorder and exercise addiction, everything that has changed for the better since regaining her period, advice for athletes to have a healthy period and also advice for coaches! She has worked with 2 doctors from India and Chicago to put together a very informative website which condenses all the science behind period loss in a very - easy to understand - way so be sure to check it out! And of course, fill out her survey (it only takes around 2 minutes!!)

We give you an update on Katie’s discovery after last weeks doctor’s visit and being treated like a “pin cushion” and discuss her dad’s race (the Lakeland 100 miler) and then jump straight into our future race bucket list including the Mount Everest Marathon (!!!!) and the Midnight Sun Marathon in Norway where it is light for the entire day! Hopefully you can get some ideas from us and add them to your own racing bucket list and in a world post COVID and when we’re a lot older, we could even do some of these races together!!

Hi guys, welcome back to another episode! For this week’s episode we have a repeat guest on but this time, it’s us discussing a topic that is very close to our hearts; dropout rate in sport. It’s affected us all at one point or another, whether that be losing friends because they chose to quit, injuries, us putting too much pressure on ourselves or just finding it stressful to fit everything into our lives. This is a huge issue within sport that somehow needs to be changed so that everyone can be “in it for the long run”.

This weeks episode is a bit more of a serious one because we felt that after recent circumstances, a lot of things needed to be talked about and we wanted to normalise talking about serious topics in order to make them seem like less of a scary complex. We have both been trying to spread ourselves too thin recently and so thought it was quite apt for this podcast.
