As we’ve concluded our lessons from the book of acts we’re being reminded In this episode of our role here on earth as Christ’s ambassadors, that should make us want to be better in every area of our lives not just focusing on the spiritual and leaving other areas of our lives. We can do better as Christians!! A lot of happening around us now is not the time to sit back and be quiet!

Acts 9:1-19 is about the conversion of Saul on his was to persecute Christians the things that stuck out to me about this story is how God qualifies the called, He doesn’t call the qualified! He doesn’t need you to be perfect He just needs you to listen and obey, we also see here that although Saul were with some people they didn’t get saved even after hearing the voice and seeing Saul become blind they still didn’t get saved! Some people are not saved because they choose to not be some people have been held captive by the lies of the devil that it’s going to take a lot more for them to accept the truth of the gospel so we need to be patient and prayerful when it comes ti evangelism and lastly we see how receptive Ananias was tor he instruction from God!!

Have we noticed that when you first get saved there’s this constant yearning for Godly things but as time goes we start to feel “mature” enough like we know enough and that yearning slowly dies down. In Acts 8:26-40 we see the story of Philip and the Eunuch, we see how eager he was to know about God and to saved and baptized, we see how he went on a personal journey of worship and also Bible study to know God for himself. Knowing God for yourself can never be over emphasized but we also need to be careful to not get too comfortable and “lose our wonder” the things that first made us happy when we got saved should constantly make us happy till we die, Christianity is not a movie where you’re looking for the next best thing you focus on the true wonder which is Christ and you never lose that admiration and love for Him.

Lessons from the book of Acts- Humility
From Acts 8: 4-25, we see the story of Phillip, Simon and Peter. From this we see how Peter was quick to tell Simon the truth and rebuke him but an another amazing thing people don’t see here is how Simon responded to that rebuke, he responded in a very humble and honest way!! Sometimes we tend to judge people based off our own experiences and expectations but we should try and see people from a different view a view filled love, compassion and empathy because some people are genuinely lost and as Christians it’s our duty to put them on the right path… -
In Acts 8 we see Saul persecuting the church which led to the Christians scattering to Judea and Samaria bringing more people to the light of the gospel, Saul meant the persecution for evil but it was just one of the ways God used to spread the gospel, the disciples were instructed to go to these places but after the persecution Christians had to go there, it may have looked like an inconvenience then but it was all a part of God’s grand scheme. Never be discouraged about the happenings right now just rest in the fact that it is all a part of Gods grand scheme and it shall end up for your good.

Todays episode is from Acts:6-7 here we learn about Stephen who was the first martyr, he was picked to be a server but we see that he still used that as a means to still fulfill purpose which was to know Christ and make him known, he never hesitated to preach to people which was why he had soo much hate enough hate to want to be killed but even at the end we still see him praying for their forgiveness. It’s one thing to know the word, but it’s another thing to live the word, we see Stephen boldly leaving the word here

Todays lesson is taken from acts 5:17-42. Here we see the apostles being rescued from prison but still being persecuted and this sprung up joy from their hearts. I know it might seem crazy right? Like why weren’t they angry or sad? Well they knew they had signed up for persecutions but nothing ever really prepares you for that still. Trusting in God helps your faith and confidence in Him because you know that no matter what happens it’s going to work for your good, just the same way the apostles knew that the suffering they experienced was nothing compared to the glory that awaits them so even before they were killed they continued to trust Him. Soo today let’s decide in our hearts to continue to put our trust in Him no matter how it may seem or look, our Father who knows the end from the beginning is right beside us in every situation

Today’s lesson is taken from Acts 5:1-11 the story of Ananias and Sapphira. Wanting to receive praises from people is a feature of a “Baby Christian” we should all grow in our walk with God to a point where human praises does not change anything, our mind should constantly me checked to be sure we are on the right path doing things for the right season because we still have a body with a flesh so sometimes things might tilt to the flesh but we have been empowered by the spirit and soo we have the ability to continually walk and be strengthened by the spirit.
Make a conscious effort to always ask yourself “why” before doing certain things and give room for repentance and correction -
Your feelings, past experiences or concerns can’t change the word of God, Jesus Christ is the only way and nothing is going to change that because that’s what the word of God says even if people go out of their way to try to disprove the truth. Seek the truth for yourself and you will see that there’s no other way than the way of Jesus!!

In this episode we talk about the miracle Peter performed at the beautiful gate Acts 3:1-11. Isn’t it funny how the beggar asked for money instead of healing? That’s because of how he saw Peter and this is what happens to us now, we have limited God’s work in our lives because of how we see Him. Miracles start in our minds we get somewhere when we start seeing ourselves somewhere so how best can you imagine a place that is clearly beyond your imaginations? Allowing God take control of your imaginations and shaping your mind with the word!!

In Acts 2:42-47, we see the first community of believers there are so many scriptures that talk about the importance of church and this honestly cannot be over emphasized, there’s a reason the devil tries to constantly attack the church to keep people away because he knows how powerful the gathering of the saints is.
Please nobody is perfect so we’re prone to error but let’s not allow human eyes errors keep us from experiencing an amazing community. -
In Acts 2 we see the manifestation of the spirit through Peter where he preached and about 3000 people were added to the church, the same Peter that denied Jesus in front of slave less than 2 months after is preaching a storm! This is nothing but the display of the Holyspirit in evangelism

Todays episode is taken from Acts 1:21-26 we see the disciples although they were told to wait until the promise of the father they already started preparations which included prayerfully selecting a replacement for Judas. In this your season of waiting what are you doing to prepare you for what God would have you do? Yes prayers are important but are you also putting in the work? Taking those courses? Improving that skill? We need to prioritize physical preparations as much as we prioritize spiritual preparations.

Lesson 1- Wait on the Lord, Acts 1:4-8. Here we see Jesus tell the disciples to wait for the promise of the Holyspirit before they leave Jerusalem we can liken this to what happens in our lives today… in this new year there are so many promises our Father has given us and it involves waiting and putting in the work, we need to draw strength from prayers and from His word because not a word said concerning us will fall to the ground void…. Wait on Him His time is ALWAYS perfect.

This is the final episode for the year and I’m truly grateful to everyone that supported the podcast. I pray that the next year exceeds our expectations. Happy new year family

Being comfortable sometimes can be a bad thing cause we need to be out of our comfort zone to actually see what we know and this is the same thing with the manifestation of the Spirit, you have to be on the field and be faced with a challenge like a sick person to really see the power of God work and heal… you’ve prayed it’s time to go out and see the mighty power of God evident through you!!

When it comes to the workings of the Spirit within us there is only one thing that can limit Him which is US, can be our minds giving us limitations, it can be in the form of fear, it can be us not knowing what to expect or what to do. From the encounter following the Pentecost In the book of acts we know that the Spirit can do way more than we can imagine or think, all we need to do is just let go and let Him. I pray that after today’s episode we receive the grace to fully yield to the Spirit.
-
Yes this earth isn’t our home but for now we are living in a body that is subject to wear and tear so we need to take good care of ourselves so we can be as productive as we would want to be with the help of the spirit. Your health is important!!
-
Honestly being a good Christian can be tricky and a bit more tasking than you think but the goodnews is we have the holyspirit Our Helper that’s more than available to help make it an easy process if we just allow Him.
-
God is always working even when we don’t see it and the minute we actually sit back and reflect we see his hand at work in every area of our lives. This episode is a reminder to always be grateful and trust the process.
