Commercial long line fishing is something I know nothing about. This is the first time I've really stepped out of my comfort zone and talked about something I am so profoundly ignorant about Capt Cullen Malarney of the Miss Kayleigh joins Jack and I to discuss long lining commercial fishing. . Cullen succinctly explains long line fishing and had a great story to lead us off. Make sure your crew has no warrants and make sure you have enough fuel!

In this episode of the Misguided Fishing Podcast; Capt David Daniels is a guy who knows how to do stuff. Not only does he run a successful charter operation out of Oregon Inlet he also is the guy you call when something isn't right with your boat. Dave has spent years in the cockpit, at the helm, and in the boat yard rebuilding motors and other hard to do expensive stuff. Sometimes I just shake my head when guys talk because they are so much more knowledgeable than me. This is one of those times.

Misguided Saltwater Fishing Podcast brings Capt Charles Perry to the studio for ep 3.12. A podcast by nature is about talking the talk. CP walks the walk and has the book and DVD to prove it. To say we felt like we were in over our heads talking to him is an understatement. I don't believe there is anything we have done that he hasn't done more times and definitely better. By far one of our favorite episodes we have produced.

Misguided Fishing episode 3.11 features Capt Dave Lusk of Salt Minded Fishing. Yes, the prodigal son has returned. Dave and I, Donnie D, had an idea a few years ago. Neither one of us had a clue had to film or produce a podcast but we went with it anyway. It has been nothing but fun. Dave got really busy last year and decided to step back and let somebody else jump to the other seat so I was so stoked when he escaped from the Russian Gulag and made an appearance with us even before going home and getting his toes amputated due to frostbite. (if you fish with him please don't stare at his feet) Enjoy this one. Out of the three of us in this episode he is the least dumbest ass there is.

Misguided Saltwater Fishing Podcast EP 3.10 welcomes Capt Bobby Smith, proprietor of Savage Inlet Oysters. Bobby has been fishing out of the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center since 1985. To say he is a waterman is an understatement. Bobby not only owns and operates the Fishing Fool, an inshore charter boat, but also has an oyster growing operation as well. There are not many people that can say they spend more time on the water than Bobby Smith. Savage Inlet Oysters have quickly become the standard for oysters on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Misguided Fishing Podcast EP 3.9 brings back Capt Travis Kemp to discuss cobia fishing in the Chesapeake Bay, we tell a story a story about one of our favorites, and Jack manages to offend us with his farts. Real Mature.

Misguided's saltwater fishing podcast welcomes capt chris kubik. chris has transitioned from being an owner operator in the renowned Oregon Inlet charter fleet to running a "private boat" that fishes mainly marlin tournaments and sailfishes in mexico and central america. We also keep jack from making this whole show about himself.

Misguided Fishing podcast focuses on saltwater fishing out of Oregon Inlet North Carolina. On this episode of Misguided Fishing Podcast Capt Dickie Harris of Fintastic Sportfishing joins us. Since Jack was Dickie's longtime mate he was on pretty good behavior and didn't hog the show. Fortunately, Dickie told us stories from old to new but saved one about Jack to keep him in line. Dickie has been fishing out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center for 45 yrs. A lot of people I knew didn't even make it to 45 much less work the same job. Dickie is a veteran of the sportfishing community and has the credibility to back it up.

In this episode of the Misguided Fishing Podcast Capt Jack goes to Washington DC and testifies to congress. Jack talks about testifying to Congress regarding sharks and the potential problems fisherman are encountering on the water. I also let Jack bang on his chest because he is going to the big money White Marlin Open this week.

The misguided crew is graced with a cozy blow day chat with Beach Bum Fishing's Capt Reese Stecher. Reese is the O.G. of the small boat charter fishery in the Oregon Inlet, NC area. He is the number one reason I got in the business and am still making a living at it. He is a true classic and could fill a whole season alone with all the stories he has accumulated over the years.

Misguided Fishing this week has Quentin and Stefan Turko in the studio to listen to Jack and I bicker about free fish. Amongst our childish behavior these guys teach us a few things about fishing and show they already have their bona fides and are ambassadors for the new generation of watermen amongst us old heads.

On Misguided Fishing this week Jack feels like it is ok to groom another man on air. We talk to Chris Greening, the owner of TW's Bait and Tackle in Nags Head NC. Chris gives us a quick lesson on how to buy and run a small business and also talks about the in store expansion he is undertaking. He is not your typical guest and we learn a lot about running a small business from him.
Chris's question for the giveaway is: How much square footage will TW's have after the expansion is done. Pretty straight forward. Leave answer in the comments for a chance to win a reel. You've got 48 hrs from time of publication of this vid.

Capt Greg Mayer joins Jack and Donnie to talk fishing, getting lost in Boston, and about a television show called Wicked Tuna. You will want to check this one out. One of the most in tune guys I know when it comes to the business of Fishing.

No guest this week. Just Capt Jack and Donnie D sitting around talking about fishing. The bluefin season is wrapping up and Jack gives us some highs and lows of his season. Donnie tries to keep the episode moving forward but Jack has had too much espresso to stay focused.

Misguided Fishing's guest this week is Capt Ben Morris of Salty Water OBX. Ben is middle aged like myself but fishes with the energy of a someone half our age. Sleep is his foe apparently. Ben is also and art school grad which I find as interesting if not more. His artwork is displayed throughout Dare County and even other states. I've embedded samples of his work throughout the video here. Ben is not only one of the top tier guides around but also one of the most creative guys I know.
