Earlier this year, our newSTAR player, 18-year-old Christian Pese suffered a stroke while playing rugby league at the New Zealand National Champs. Christian was put on life support and has undergone numerous surgeries. He has been through an immense rehabilitation programme and is one of the lucky ones who has recovered well. Well enough to have been given the all-clear to play footy again in 2022.
Shane chats to the inspirational Christian and his Dad about his traumatic incident and his road to recovery.
