"The Brutalist" had its world premiere at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival, where it received enthusiastic reviews for its direction from Brady Corbet (which won him the Silver Lion for Best Director), the tremendous performances from its cast consisting of Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce, and Felicity Jones, and the film's monumental scope on such a small budget.
