Organised by skill sharing volunteers, this charity creates an ecologically complex patchwork of native habitats in Ireland.
They have started working on a project to acquire land for a native woodland to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the famine in 2045.

This latest edition of 'Ours To Protect' here on Radio Nova, Traic chatted with Eoghan Connaughton the founder of volunteer group, The Gaelic Woodland Project.
This group were founded in response to the lack of efficient levels of forestry for extensive agriculture to take place.
For decades, farmers and private land owners have been paid to plant trees on their land, instead of intensive agriculture.
Despite these grants, Ireland still falls short of targets regarding securing forest cover. Currently Ireland stands at 11% forest cover, one of the lowest in Europe.
Mr Connaughton spoke to Traic about his group's approach to this problem.
