INTRODUCTION
One of the most frequently asked questions i get as an Executive Leadership Coach is ‘how do I have those tough conversations?’ It never fails to amazing me that leaders struggle with communication so much when quality communication is the number one driver for staff engagement.
This season of the overwhelm to Owning it show i’ll be sharing my Communication tips for business leaders and people leaders.
If you need to scrub up your communication, join me each week as we unpack another Communication technique and strategy to use straight away.
Show Objectives - The Why
It’s Season 5 kick of and this season it’s all about Communication for leaders. IN the kick off episode i’ll go through what’s instore for upcoming episodes and a little taster of the types of topics you can expect throughout the season.
Key Issues - Owner Perspective:
As business leaders, and leaders of your teams and life, it’s imperative that you’re continually looking to grow yourself, and connect with your team. It’s estimated that we avoid a conversation every 7 minutes (unreal!) which equates to approximately $104B in lost productivity every year.
What You Need to Know - The What
As a leader it is your responsibility to make sure that the way you’re communicating is in a way that the person you’re communicating with likes (needs) to receive information. If you’re a leader of more than one person this means that you’ll have to continually tweak and adapt your leadership communication to make sure that it’s appropriate for the person you’re speaking with.
