Hello and welcome to Sinister the true crime podcast where we discuss the nitty gritty details of the world’s most notorious crimes and general mysteries.
In today's episode we're talking about the solved disappearance of Zebb Quinn from North Carolina in 2000.
Zebb was known to be a kind and caring man, without a bad bone in his body who had his entire life ahead of him. He worked hard, he'd been accepted into college and was approved for an ROTC program. He was really doing it all.
But one night after finishing a late night shift at his local Walmart, Zebb and a friend, Jason, went looking at a new car for Zebb in another town. But Zebb never returned home after that and didn't show up to work in the days following.
Someone pretending to be Zebb contacted his work pretending to be him and calling in sick, and his aunts home was broken into the night of his disappearance, but were those just coincidences?
What happened to Zebb? Jason was the last person to be seen with him, did Jason have something to do with it? Was it the girl he had a crush on and was spending more time with leading up to his disappearance? Did her boyfriend have something to do with this?
In this episode we follow the 2 decade long investigation that occurred following that night, leading to the answers of what happened to Zebb Quinn.
I hope you enjoy this episode.

In today's episode we're talking about the mysterious disappearance of Jo Jo Dullard. Which would be one of Ireland’s most infamous disappearance cases.
Josephine “Jo Jo” Dullard had missed her bus from Dublin to Callan and began a journey through hitchhiking. Later in the night Jo Jo made a call to a friend informing her of her plans but unfortunately this friend was the last known person to talk to Jo Jo.
In this case we follow the evidence to establish a timeline of what happened to Jo Jo that night back in 1995.
This occurred on the 9th of November 1995, making yesterday the 29th anniversary of her disappearance.
Throughout this case we will also discuss The Vanishing Triangle as well as a little bit of detail on Deirdre Jacob, who disappeared in a similar way to Jo Jo, as there are thoughts of the two women’s disappearances possibly being connected.

Hello and welcome to Sinister the true crime podcast where we discuss the nitty gritty details of the world’s most notorious crimes and general mysteries.
In today's episode we're talking about the tragic, mysterious death of indie rockstar Elliott Smith.
In October 2003, Elliott was found with a knife in his chest by his girlfriend, Jennifer Chiba, in their Los Angeles apartment.
With a history of supposed suicidal ideations and a tracklist of music with depressing tones, the idea of this being a suicide seemed likely enough for police to avoid all investigation.
The coroner classed it as potentially suspicious and deemed the mode of death as undetermined. no drugs or alcohol were found in Elliotts system and he had an arrange of events coming up to live for.
Was this just an act Elliott had wanted to do or did someone else decide to kill Elliott and blame a suicide on the rockstar who had lyrics indicating some form of desire to die?
The case remains undetermined to this day, but let us discuss our theories anyway.
I hope you enjoy this episode.

Hello and welcome to Sinister the true crime podcast where we discuss the nitty gritty details of the worlds most notorious crimes and general mysteries.
In today's episode we're discussing the horrific murder of Kitty Genovese.
It was the early hours of the morning on the 16th of March, 1964 and Kitty Genovese was just trying to get home to her girlfriend for their anniversary after spending the night bartending.
What she didn't realise was that a Winston Mosley was also out that night, desperate to cause pain. He had already sexually assaulted and murdered before, he wanted to do it again while his family were sleeping at home.
When he noticed the small Kitty, he knew he had an easy victim and followed her to her apartment building where numerous witnesses heard as she was sexually assaulted and brutally stabbed to death.
Following her death, news articles in the New York Times would report of 38 witnesses who supposedly witnessed this attack and chose not to get involved. But what really happened that night? Were there really 38 eye witnesses to this tragic event? Was there really no one willing to contact police this night? Let's discuss the murder of Kitty Genovese and the role 38 witnesses had in her death. Or the role the media played in sensationalising her tragic death, attempting to blame numerous bystanders for something they likely didn't do.
Now known for the beginning of a phenomenon known as the bystander effect, Kitty will also be known for enhancing the emergency services call system in New York. But did she really have to be murdered to implement a good emergency services phone line system?
I hope you enjoy this episode.

Hello and welcome to Sinister the true crime podcast where we discuss the nitty gritty details of the worlds most notorious crimes and general mysteries.
In today's episode we'll be discussing the tragic story of Scott Amedure and how homophobia played a massive role in his horrific murder. Also known as The Jenny Jones Show Murder, Scott wanted to wow his crush by taking him on said show for a segment titled 'Revealing Same Sex Secret Crush'. On the show Scott confessed his feelings for Jon Schmitz, who supposedly harboured negative feelings about this event until he erupted a few days later, murdering a man for his crush. Jon claimed embarrassment over the event which led to the tragic murder, but Scott never could have anticipated such a reaction.
The following case was filled with blatant homophobia, claiming that a man can be so terrified of another mans sexual advances they're left with no other option than murder.
But listen in while I tell you the story of Scott Amedure and his severely undeserving death at the hands of Jonathan Schmitz.
I hope you enjoy this episode.
