In this episode, I had the pleasure of attending the 3rd Annual Women In Wellness Summit at Kean University as a media host. The summit's theme was Intentional Living, and it was a wonderful opportunity to connect with inspiring panelists and attendees, including Iyanna Anderson, the founder of Well Together.
Iyanna shared her hopes for how women would feel during and after the event, emphasizing empowerment and clarity around their goals and vision for intentional living. She stressed the importance of connecting with others in the room for support and accountability.
Well Together is a wellness consulting company that focuses on providing educational experiences centered around mental health for organizations and schools. Their aim is to enhance mental health literacy and help people understand what mental health is and how to support it.
During the summit, I had the chance to speak with some attendees who shared their thoughts and takeaways from the event, adding valuable insights and perspectives.

In today’s episode, we reflect on some of the insightful moments shared by Iyana Anderson, the founder of Well Together, a wellness consulting company with a vision to introduce accessible, inclusive, and equitable wellness culture to communities and organizations. She shares what led her to become a wellness advocate.
Iyana's interest in understanding human behavior started during her undergraduate studies in psychology. She was curious about why people behave the way they do, which sparked her passion for understanding behavior.
During her psychology studies, Iyana had reservations about mental health. Coming from a Caribbean background where discussing problems and mental health was not common, she initially avoided the topic. However, her curiosity and passion for understanding behavior led her to embrace mental health advocacy.
Iyana's journey reminds us of the power of curiosity and the impact it can have on our paths.

In this episode, Jamie Watkins opens up about her journey to finding happiness and self-love. Born and raised in Central Jersey, Jamie's path to happiness was influenced by the tragic passing of her brother when she was just nine years old. This early loss taught her the fragility of life and instilled in her a desire for a fulfilling life.
Jamie's journey led her accomplishing many of her personal milestones. However, these achievements did not bring her the happiness she had hoped for. Instead, she found herself in a toxic marriage, realizing that she had never taken the time to truly know herself beyond the roles of being a wife and mother.
Determined to find true happiness and purpose, Jamie embarked on a self-love journey to discover her identity and lean into her purpose. She found solace in her faith, recognizing that she was created with a purpose and that her experiences, both positive and negative, were part of a bigger plan.
Through her experiences, Jamie learned the importance of mental wellness, self-love, and purpose. She encourages women to embrace their stories, knowing that they are equipped with everything they need to create the life they desire. Jamie's book, "My Piece of Happy," chronicles her journey and serves as a guide for women seeking to find happiness and purpose in their own lives.
