  • “I am passionate about helping women make money. I've always worked for great women leaders and female founded companies. So that was when I decided to make the pivot and really focus on women small business service-preneur companies.”

This Week on Startups in Stilettos, Carlyn and Ingrid meet with sales strategist Jac White, founder of Honeybees Group and host of the Girls Make Bank Podcast. Since 2020, 47% of new businesses have been launched by women, many fleeing corporate burnout, layoffs, or inflexible return-to-office mandates. But there’s one critical skill holding us back: charging what we’re worth.

With 20+ years of experience, from VC-backed startups to coaching female founders, Jac reveals the mindset shifts that helped her pivot successfully (and profitably) when corporate refugees began flooding the entrepreneurial space. Get ready for her best advice on pricing with confidence, protecting your time without guilt, and building sales systems that actually work, not just another Instagram course disguised as strategy.

  • “I want each one to feel special while they are traveling with me. Others say to me, 'Oh, you're supposed to do a lot of group tours. That's going to bring you a lot of profits.' I'm saying leave this aside because it's not about profit. This is about people.”

When 2020 brought global travel to a halt, Siham Lahmine saw an unexpected opportunity: to bet on herself. Leaving behind a stable career in education (and a seven-year role at a tourism company), she launched Morocco Travel Organizer, curating immersive, luxury experiences that go beyond the guidebooks. But her journey wasn’t just about pivoting, it was about rewriting her own rules.

Siham’s entrepreneurial journey is a testament to the power of patience and intuition. While many rushed to pivot in 2020, she took two years to refine her vision, proving that timing isn’t just about opportunity, but readiness.

  • “If you're having a hard time as a business owner, as an entrepreneur, I invite you to maybe, in this moment, placing a hand palm down over your heart space, and maybe the other hand on top of it, maybe you might like to take a breath, and you might like to say to yourself: ‘This is a natural part of running a business, and there's nothing wrong with me. There's nothing wrong with me.’ And that's where I start.”

When Shulamit Ber Levtov went back to school to continue her training in business, she found herself encountering other entrepreneurs who confided in her due to her approachable nature and her background in therapy. As she grew her own business and began to understand the unique mental and emotional stressors that come with entrepreneurship, she realized that there was something sorely missing from the entrepreneur’s toolbox: mental health professionals who understand the unique context of business ownership and its impact on mental health.

Today, Shula is the Entrepreneur's Therapist, working with business owners to mitigate the entrepreneurial mental health crisis and transform the entrepreneur ecosystem. Shula is a speaker, teacher, and consultant who works one on one with business owners to support their mental and emotional well being. Tune in to hear what Shula tells us about the most stressful part of entrepreneurship, the trouble with burning the candle at both ends, and the importance of practicing self-compassion for female entrepreneurs.

She is an engaging speaker who passionately advocates for public speaking as a catalyst for career and business success. A TEDx speaker and startup event host, she has addressed audiences at the United Nations and major conferences worldwide.
