Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first-ever international day for global health. Since then, every year, on the 1st of December, people around the globe unite to observe World Aids Day. The Africa Centre for HIV/Aids Management at Stellenbosch University opened in 2003 to help address challenges in the fight against HIV and Aids through academic programmes. These programmes specifically look at managing HIV and Aids in the workplace. Dr Munya Saruchera, Interim Director and Senior Lecturer at the Centre tells us more.
