Tom Cruise! Mia Sara (or Mira Sorvino?), Tim Curry Chicken! Yes, we are talking about Ridley Scott's Legend - that Fantasy movie from 85 where you can only mostly remember unicorns and Satan. We explore our recollections of this film and our feelings of being loved by the sun. And then we talk about sandwiches.
-
In this episode - fan mail, recommendations, and Predator! There's not much more to say. It's freaking Predator! Enjoy.

On this episode - we talk about the Jim Henson classic, Labyrinth! A girl, a maze, a baby, a goblin king, tight tight pants! Glass balls! A fox, riding atop a sheep dog. This film is madness. But fun madness. Let's parse out our thoughts and feelings on this, shall we?

Erin and Ron cover the (sorta) kids film Cloak and Dagger, an espionage thriller where grown adults keep shooting at a 10 year old and then try to blow up a 6 year old. Oh, and top secret airplane plans are hidden inside of a video game - which is only accessible if you get a high score. Don't ask us, ask the lab coat scientists who made the ridiculous thing.
-
On this episode - we cover all things Nintendo! I'm sure many of us have memories of really sore thumbs with cross imprints in them, the Contra code, the 8-bit soundtracks, the feeling of conquering that game has been vexing you for months! It was the console that reigned supreme in the 80's, in spite of what Sega's TV Commercials tried to tell you. Ninten-don't bow to anybody!
-
In this Episode, Erinator and Ron Connor talk about robot dads, liquid metal, smoldering Michael Bien, psychotic white bitches, and all things TERMINATOR!
-
This episode, we talk about the comedy classic, Trading Places, starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd. The film in some ways seems more relevant today than ever, as it touches on social issues on class differences, wealth and poverty lines, and blatant racism. This is Eddie Murphy in his comedy prime, along with very young versions of Jamie Lee Curtis, Dan Akroyd, and a not so you version of Denholm Elliot (the Indiana Jones guy).

This week we talk Fraggle Rock - and a little Infinity War, and a Little Rick and Morty... but mostly Fraggles! Dance your cares away, worry's for another day.
-
Ron and Erin dissect the toys of Erin's youth (not literally) and dig in to the dark history of Cabbage Patch Kids that you've (probably) never heard of!
-
It's Global Thermal Nuclear War! Aaaaaahhhhhh! Ron and Erin are here to discuss War Games, the Matthew Broderick classic, and some of the hardware behind it. More exciting than Small Wonder! More harrowing than Falkon's Maze! More impressive than Erin's daughter building a giant robot that destroys half of Japan... well no. That's no true. That would be damn impressive. War Games!
-
Ron and Erin deflate the nostalgia balloon as they (sort of) analyze both Small Wonder and the low budget TV sitcom. They have a bit of trouble finding enough meat on the bones to sink their teeth into on this show, so they veer off into a few other directions. We suffered through it and took our lickings to bring you, the listening audience, the glory that is Small Wonder! La la la La la la La la la la la La!
-
In this weeks episode, Erin and Ron talk about songs featured in both the book and the film - Ready Player One. A few of these might take you back. Do as Van Halen and "Jump" in.
-
This episode, we review the Spielberg not quite classic which features an orgy of classic pop culture things. This fun and fast paced film attempts to hit all of the nostalgia feels. Is it too heavy handed? Does it hit the mark? Was it a giant pile? One thing we can say for certain, critical darling or not, this movie was super fun, and on pure escapist fluff terms, it succeeds. Join us as we slap on our VR headsets and dive in...
-
Pirates! Cliffs of Insanity! ROUS's! To Blaaaaaaathe! We are talking Princess Bride on this episode of The 80s Kids! One of the most timeless fantasy movies ever, boasting a stellar cast, great set pieces, and a sharply written script. Ron and Erin have fun storming the castle as they break it down. Let us tell you a storybook story...
-
In this episode of the Be Kind Rewind series, Erin and Ron discuss just about every facet of The Never Ending Story. The characters, the behind the scenes, the deeper meanings, the visuals, and.... vaginas. Not that those are explicit in the film - or maybe they are!! And you never noticed. Enough said. Now you're interested. Listen now.
-
This week in the TV Guide Series, Ron and Erin talk about the acclaimed Miami Vice Episode from Season 2 - "Out Where The Buses Don't Run". Roller Skating Dealers, Missing Drug Lords, Crazy People, Hit Men, Boat Stake Outs, Water Stunt Shows, Little Richard, Computers named Lorraine, Clam Juice. This episode is jam packed!
The 80's were a hell of a time, and cocaine is one hell of a drug. Set the Juke to J-50 and let's boogie!
-
This week has us talking about Drew Barrymore's 1984 thriller, "Firestarter"!, some of the finest acting she had ever done, back before she was a flesh eating housewife. Based on Stephen King's novel, this was the first time either of us have seen the theatrical release, so looking at it through a modern day lens gave us some interesting perspectives. And that ending sequence is bad ass!
-
In our second episode, Erin and Ron talk about their earliest memories and experiences with Star Wars, and Erin proves you don't necessarily have to watch them in order to get some enjoyment out of the saga. Try as we might, we just couldn't NOT talk about The Last Jedi a bit, thought we both walked away from the conversation unscathed. Get ready for a nerdy deep dive.

In our premiere episode, Erin and Ron discuss the Saturday morning and afternoon animated shows that they consumed during childhood, along with... The California Lottery?? They also touch on important socially relevant subjects like the horrors of transforming into a car, how a CareBear stare may cause genetic mutation, and why Skeletor and villains of his ilk never really ahead that well. And also... milk made out of peas!?
