Alexxis Isaac immediately inspired me—but not for the reasons you might think. Yes, she has an incredible background with several Ivy League schools on her resume. She’s had an accomplished career where she’s making tangible strides for equity and environmentalism. But what I most appreciate about Alexxis is her heart for the work that she is doing. Her passion is so evident—and her energy is contagious. Even when the work can feel overwhelming, Alexxis is not one to give up. We also dive into how your credentials are not there to define you—which is something we all need to hear when so many of us feel like we are “never enough.”

Do you struggle with social anxiety? Particularly regarding public speaking and when you need to present in the workplace? Then Kit Pang is your guy. I got in contact with Kit when he had me speak in his Fearless Public Speaking Summit. Since then, it’s been a joy to continue our conversation so that folks can work through the anxiety that comes up—especially when it’s time to take the mic or lead the meeting.

Dr. Laura Purdy immediately inspired me. Talk about someone who is making a tremendous difference, all while demonstrating flexibility and ingenuity in these ever-changing times. I also love how she shares how telehealth has given back the “freedom of choice,” so that as a doctor, she can find more of a work-life balance. The way she is advocating for the mental health of our healthcare providers is beyond necessary.

Ashleigh blew me away. Her candor, her sincerity—it’s clear why she’s reached her success. She’s passionate about creating cultures that look out for everyone…not just those at the top. She wants to build spaces where her colleagues and the customers are valued throughout the entire business transaction. I can’t wait for you to hear her insights.

Bryan Waddell was such a fun guest to have on the show. He got me thinking totally outside of the box and I know he will for you as well. The way Bryan has brought his creative entrepreneurial spirit to the corporate space is so illuminating. He challenges the molds of what our expectations often are and marries different branches of thought in a unique way that is truly game changing in his industry. I also love how Bryan is inviting all voices to be brought to the table—diverse generations, backgrounds, and identities are all welcomed and he sees each perspective as a strength in its own right. This conversation is one to save!

This conversation with Andrew Dadour, Senior Customer Success Manager at Adobe, will inspire you to take bold and meaningful action in your life. Andrew’s creativity in his career is truly inspiring. So many of us think we should pursue a certain path and we can feel disappointed in ourselves if those plans don’t come to fruition. When Andrew realized that he didn’t want to become a neurosurgeon, he was open to seeing what would unfold next. His story about becoming a chef is particularly incredible—it serves as such a reminder that you never know what will happen when you’re brave enough to put yourself out there. I hope as you hear Andrew’s story you’ll be open to the evolution of your own career. It’s never too late to make a change and it’s never too soon to start something new.

I have my Auntie Nette to thank for introducing me to the amazing Kalyn Brooke. Some people you just meet and you feel a connection with right away. That’s how I felt when I visited Kalyn’s website and even more so when I had her on the show. What inspires me the most about Kalyn is her bravery. She owns her story. She doesn’t deny or hide her experiences with depression, anxiety, and OCD. She acknowledges that they are a part of her story—but they haven’t stopped her from writing out the life she’s been meant to live. Kalyn has gone on to become an author, blogger, and a successful business owner traveling the country in her RV with her husband. This episode will hearten you and Kalyn reminds us that we are never alone.

Upon hearing Alex's story with the Army (he’s had over 20 years of service!), I knew I had to share his story. In this episode, we’re sitting down Myles Hunter, the CEO and Co-Founder of TutorMe. I initially came across Myles’ work when I was reading about notable alumni from USC (one of my alma maters!). The fact that Myles took initiative for a problem that not only he experienced personally, but witnessed for millions of children, is inspiring. Myles is making a difference in so many students’ lives and he serves as a reminder that we can all take action for the problems that we see in the world. I hope our conversation will inspire you to take a small step to resolve a community issue that you’re witnessing, whether it’s a social injustice, global warming, or what’s happening overseas as we see the tragedies occurring in Ukraine. Myles’ story is such a testament that we can all take action to help one another.

Having Mark Goldberg on the show was such a joy and honor. I was inspired to reach out to Mark after I heard him facilitate a panel during the virtual conference for the Institute for Well-Being in Law. He was so gracious to join me for this conversation regarding how he has brought all facets of wellness to the legal industry.
