In this episode we share lessons we have learnt about communication.
We talk about personal experiences on how we treat the other and what we learnt from doing that.
Learning how the other person communicates is learning a new language and learning languages is hard BUT WORTH IT in the end just like Marriage. IT IS HARD, but also worth it.

Topic 1 - GATEKEEPING
For too long now Māori have encountered obstacles making it hard to embrace our language WHAT is disappointing is when its Māori tearing down Māori regarding how we use our language or how much or little we use it i.e GATEKEEPING
Topic 2 - MENTAL HEALTH
It is common knowledge that NZ has a mental illness situation and problem. We have all seen the news when a suicide is reported and social media comes to life with posts about how we need to do more OR be better. The push up challenges come out or the cuppa tea posts start doing the rounds. BUT when real life people share real and raw kōrero so many switch off and don't join in. Lets talk about it. -
In this episode we discuss why we believe that suicide prevention isn't working. In NZ we have had a suicide prevention plan since 2006 and yet the stats clearly show that plan isn't working. We share our thoughts on what is a better options and where we believe funds should be directed.
