Jonathan: "The amount she stole was such that if a stranger had stolen it, that person would
face up to 10 years in prison. The Baltimore Police Report number is # 1-16-09-13524. It is labeled as a “dispute” only because she is my wife; in fact, there was no “dispute” since I discovered the theft only after she was gone (but before her plane was to take off). I was able to get into the apartment because I had told the woman at the front desk to send a locksmith before driving my wife to the airport."

A little backdrop of my story. I was in a romance scam that lasted 2 1/2 months and it ended 8 months ago. I met him on Tinder and lost $26,000. I almost lost $50,000 more but when I went to take money out of my retirement account, I told my financial advisor the whole story and he said he thought I might be in a romance scam.
When I ended it, I made a quick decision to live my life to the fullest and started advocating. I am also a comedy improv performer.

About Michele Defilippo
Self-publishing means the AUTHOR is the publisher, but you'd never know that from browsing the internet. Most authors believe a publisher is necessary, that they must sign away their rights, creative control, and revenues to offer their books to the public. This is not the case!
1106 Design's mission is to help authors publish books without sharing a penny of their net revenue* from sales with a publisher. We provide self-publishing peace with quality services, reliable publishing advice, and the convenience of project management at every stage. Since 2001, we have helped more than 4,000 authors Publish Like the Pros.
*Sample net revenue calculation:
Retail price of the book: $20.00
Less Amazon's 40% cut (aka the wholesale discount): $8
Less printing cost: $5
Net revenue to indie authors: $7
"Publishers" pay authors a much smaller sum. We've seen figures as low as $.90 per book AFTER the publisher charged the author for book prep. If you think we're a good fit, we'd like to tell your audience how to Publish Like the Pros instead.

"I have been a dating coach for over 15 years. A few years ago she realized that my
clients don't have the same horror stories as other people I talk to do because
I bake safety into their dating training. A year ago in the same 24 hour period
I heard from two friends that their children had just experienced horrific
sexual assault... gang rape on a young gay man naively picking up someone for a
1st date on tinder and the rape of my friend's daughter hosting a dinner on a
second date while my friend was in the house. In both of these instances when I
heard the circumstances I KNEW that these horrible assaults could have been
prevented if these young people had only had the skills and tools I teach to
date safely online. From there I created Swipe Safely, the first course aimed
at increasing internet dating safety. It is now my mission to make people safer
dating online."
