Presented in concert with THPN, Draft Kings Pick Six and Gametime.
The PP1 Podcast dives into the week that was for the Canucks and the highs and lows of what we witnessed.
Kiefer Sherwood potted a hat trick, Quinn Hughes continues to break ankles and Kevin Lankinen is still standing on his head.
We chat about the hypothetical Elias Pettersson trade and why the Canucks are bonkers if they're actually going to trade him.
We discuss if they should go all-in or this is a building year to make a run for next season.
Ryan gets the group into a Christmas spirit and asks what sports clothing we all asked for Christmas as our younger selves. Starter jackets, tear away pants and Nike hoodies. A pencil tin makes an appearance.
It's a good one you won't want to miss. Lots of debate and Christmas cheer, but no actual cheering.

All Killer, No Filler this week. Welcome to the PP1 Podcast.
Presented by THPN, Draft Kings Pick Six, Skylight Frame and Gametime.
THIS WEEK:
Thatcher Demko returns to the Canucks after what seems like an eternity. Brock Boeser gets contract talks started and he's in the market for an 8x8 (we're cool with that) Is the Canucks organization soft? Do they hold too much too close to the vest? We recap the Team Canada Top-5 and find out who's team would win in a matchup. Ryan quizzes Ted on the Con(n)ors of the NHL and which one is which. We also complain about the NHL's officiating and how there needs to be some accountability. Yeah right! You can watch us on Youtube and Facebook, follow us on IG and Twitter. -

The Hockey Podcast Network presents PP1 Podcast.
Ryan set up his Christmas lights display on his golf green, he has the tree up but he's a little grinchy on the release of Team Canada's Four Nations Cup roster. Did the Olympics wear him out?
We discuss the idea of Vancouver trading for Blake Lizzotte and NOT trading away Nils Hoglander.
This week we get back to the fun game of "Top-5" and the guys choose their Team Canada with players still in the NHL that WERE good. It's fun.

Welcome to the PP1 Podcast!
Early start times, hostile environments and Kevin Lankinen dominated this week's version of the Canucks.Lankinen sets an NHL record with 10 straight road wins to start the season, Quinn Hughes is now the all-time assist leader for the Canucks and Jake Debrusk has found his scoring touch with the Canucks.
So much to get into especially considering they haven't even been home in a hot minute.
It was also announced that the Memorial Cup was awarded to the Kelowna Rockets in 2026 and we remember how awesome the 2004 tournament was.
Finally, we get back to the r/Canucks questions: Worst shot/Best Shot/Remember this guy/Biggest draft steal. -

THE PP1 PODCAST!
Plain and simple: the Canucks are in the thick of it right now and the addition of Brock Boeser back into the lineup along with the return (hopefully) of Thatcher Demko, Vancouver has done well to maintain a playoff spot.
There was some sus discussion about Zadorov coming back to Vancouver? Friends, that's not the answer and we all know it.
Ryan chats about his ginger beef dinner with scallop potatoes and didn't have to leave once to you know..
We play the hit game "remember the name" and Ryan might have been stumped on Chubarov, like really?
Thanks to Miruzzz on r/canucks, we tackle the latest questions: Worst Canucks Coach, Slowest Canuck, Most Clutch Canuck, and Fastest Canuck.

The Canucks, despite what we think, are playing some good hockey. Ryan dedicates the WHOLE episode to being positive about the orca boys.
There is way too much to be positive about and Quinn Hughes reaching 300 assists is the latest feat!
Kiefer Sherwood is buzzing, Jake DeBrusk is scoring and even Elias Pettersson is finally getting in on the action.
Ryan goes off on a rant about house numbers, the guys chat about door dash drivers, and Ted brings up Canucks Reddit on some great categories "Most overrated, most underrated, best player, worst player".
One of our most fun episodes we've done in awhile. Check out the Youtube if you can.

PP1 Podcast presented by THPN, Draft Kings Sports Book and Game Time.
Listen, the Canucks haven't been good lately. They've been relearning hockey like the Matrix and it's a bit frustrating but fear not listeners, Ted and Ryan have you covered.
We get into the deets on how the Canucks are struggling but their overall team depth is keeping them in it.
Ryan gets into the PP and how it's like plugging in the USB wrong: making the same mistakes and not labelling it so you can change.
Top 5 we get into Mario suit power ups and we also get into our go-tos for Halloween chocolate bars.
The struggles are real right now but the Canucks are one spark away from things being pretty amazing again!

It's been a long time since we've gone in depth on the Canucks and boy oh boy does it feel good!
Ryan and Ted discuss the struggles of the elite Elias Pettersson, how the team just doesn't look jelled yet, and how they just need to "get there".
We reminisce about our past seasons on the show, some fave memories and moments and of course we have TOP 5.
It got a bit weird but this segment was a blast this week. TOP 5 Meat meals. Where did bacon go in the list? Did ground beef even rank? What kind of steak is best? We answer all of these.
Thanks for coming along on the journey! We couldn't have done it without you.

The Canucks are back, we're back and we're talking about... ELECTIONS??? No, we're not but Ryan had a beef about plastic straws.
We cover all the big topics going into this season such as: GOALTENDING, SCORING, EXPECTATIONS, GOALTENDING, DEBRUSK, GOALTENDING, and we even snuck in top 5.
Thanks to all of our followers on FB, we are now able to go on FB LIVE each week. It's a big deal and we're so thankful.
We can't wait to bring our SIXTH season to you and maybe just maybe... we talk about that silver trophy at the end.

Hockey is almost back, sorta kinda, and Ryan needed to chat to keep the juices flowing. Brad Karp of K96.3 Classic Rock in Kelowna joined him to do the talking, that's what they do, and they got into the hearty topics of the day:
Why is Thatcher Demko still hurt?Is Filip Hronek going to have a monster year? What's a Belt Off Championship? Why is the center ice logo at Rogers Arena not the skate logo?Seriously, about the Belt Off thing, what's that?We chat about Young Stars and Training Camp for the Canucks and Ryan debuts a new game that might just be the best 2 minutes in podcasting.
Buckle up, tune in and enjoy. Real hockey is almost here.

Summer has started but the heat was cranked up to 10 when Ted and Ryan recorded in the same room with their buddy Matt.
We get into the Canucks free agent signings, summer baseball, Ted's heart surgery and what you all came for:
90s hip hop, goaltenders, and NHL games.
The live show was great but the audio was just as good. There are some zingers we won't forget, at least 50% of them.
We hope you enjoy it because it was a treat to record.

PP1 Podcast is back for a big show!
The Stanley Cup has been awarded to the Florida Panthers, Roberto Luongo has a Cup, and Connor McDavid didn't win. It's a good time to be a Canucks fan.
We touch on the vacant MVP trophy and how maybe we're ok with McDavid leaving it alone.
Ryan mentions he's right once again on the Hronek signing and with the draft coming up, how high does Kelowna Rocket Tij Iginla go?
Ted lets everyone know about what's going on in his life and how his heart surgery one year ago is going to need an update.
We talk about the Cyber Truck and the summer in the Okanagan.
OH, and we tease a potential guest on our show... It's impressive.

The PP1 Podcast returns to its roots to go aural on your ears. With the Canucks done for the year there is plenty to debate about the future of the team.
Who do the Canucks re-sign? Who do they let go? How much money should Filip Hronek make? Is Ian Cole the best-ever defenseman for the Canucks? OK, we didn't ask that one.
We debate Ian Cole vs. Tyler Toffoli and where their value is more valuable.
Does Martin Necas make sense for the Canucks and at what cost?
The other thing we get into is the tale of Nils Hoglander.
ANYWAY, so much to digest this week and we go long. It's probably our most complete show in awhile. You'll love it.
-
The Canucks backdoored the Oilers in Game 1 and took a series lead. It's early but you gotta feel good.
Long story short, if you love the Canucks... listen to the show, find out why we believe and why the Oilers for sure are still gonna make it a series.
Go Canucks GO!

The Canucks haven't won a playoff series since 2011 and they took it almost to the brink in Game Six against the Predators.
Pius Suter potted the game-winner but it was Artur Silovs who stole the show as the backup's back up. It was a nauseating series but the Canucks prevailed and now it's time for the real challenge: The Edmonton Oilers.
Grant Notembomer aka SpyderSoul joined us to chat about his perspective from Abbotsford and along with Ted and Ryan, gave their takes on where they expect to see things go in the second round.
Will it be a cakewalk for either team? Will McDavid run roughshod on Vancouver? Is Silovs in line for the Conn Smythe already?
We talked about that and our super cool tee that you should totally buy.

This week - The Canucks take a 2-1 series lead over the Nashville Predators while Ted and Ryan welcome a guest to chat about the stingy series.
B-Mack from Virgin Radio Kelowna joined the guys to talk about Game 3, their Bat sniffing baseball team, and killing the vibe with acoustic anthems.
Casey DeSmith takes over the net for Vancouver and we have a lot to talk about with his big entrance to the post season.
Elias Pettersson is still a bit snake bitten but the guys feel he's warming up.
Ryan talks about how he was pretty sure he destroyed B-Mack on the ball field this week with a line drive.
The guys give their thoughts on the remainder of the series and who they believe needs to step up to close it out.
Everyone reminisces about the great Bob Cole and the voices that have shaped our sports lives on both TV and the radio.
If you liked our show on the live stream or even as a podcast, give us a follow/like/share so we can spread the word.
Thanks to everyone who has brought us this far, five amazing seasons!

This week our very good friend Aaron Pritchett, he of Canadian Country Music fame, joined the show to chat all things hockey, Canucks, CCMAs, and the simple things like who would be his band made up of Canucks.
The guy is a beauty and always has great stuff to talk about.
We get into round one of Canucks vs. Predators, what it will take to win that series and more.
Aaron chats about what it's like to play an amped show, what the crowd does to keep you going and how the playoffs make the players go to another level.
We take a brief run around the league as well and check out the Eastern conference series as well.
TUNE IN AND LETS GOOOO!

This week, Ryan and Ted discuss the Canucks final stretch for the playoffs, Demko's return, Garland's presence and the numerous storylines that have made up the season.
Ryan brings up a scenario where an NHL player turns heel during a game ala wrestling and its interesting.
The guys discuss the Coyotes move to Utah, and obviously, the Masters.
Tune in and help our show grow!
Top 5 this week is Condiments. It gets a little "heated" pun intended.

THPN and Draft Kings Sportsbook App present: The PP1 Podcast
Dan Macholz joins Ryan this week as Ted is out of town. Always a great time to have Dan on the show and he is coming to join us for the playoff run on the show, it should be a lot of fun.
This week, we get into the proper pronunciation of Bure or BYUR-AY. What team are you on?
We chat about how the powerplay is on life support currently but that there are ways to fix it or at least get it going again.
There is some concern about Elias Pettersson's production but it just takes a bounce get him going again.
Ryan allows the room to wax poetic about Quinn Hughes and just talking about it gave the guys goosebumps!
