    Today’s guest Luke Tscharke discusses his recent trip to the Gold Coast for a Sony event and the positive impact it had on his creativity and connection with the photography community.

    He also shares his journey into photography, starting with his fascination with images in encyclopaedias and natural geographic.

    Luke talks about his transition from cityscape photography in Melbourne to landscape photography in Sydney, and how being part of photography groups and communities helped him grow as a photographer.

    He also discusses the role of competitions in his photography journey and the importance of finding a group or community to connect with.

    We also discuss Luke’s journey of moving to Hobart, Tasmania and starting his photography business, the challenges he faced, such as leaving a successful photography business in Sydney and adapting to a smaller market in Hobart.

    Dean also talks about his workshops and the importance of preserving dark skies and reducing light pollution.

    I had the opportunity to sit down with Scottish minimalist photographer Martin Annand.

    In this episode Martin and I discuss how he went from beginning his photography career to creating captivating and distinct minimal imagery that has seen him win multiple international awards and honourable mentions.

    As a fan off Martins work and being in the same field, I took pleasure in having this conversation to gain an insight into his world, the dedication to the craft and the pursuit all things minimal left me in a deeper awe.
