My clients are people who love to learn, grow and push themselves. But what Iâve seen time and time again - and experienced myself - is how over-challenging ourselves can lead to freezing or getting stuck in productive procrastination for months.

Thereâs a lot of talk in the entrepreneurial world about the dream of âbeing your own boss.â But what happens when you finally become your own boss⊠and realise youâve turned into the worst boss youâve ever had?
This episode introduces a different way of thinking about how perfectionism is showing up in your business. Itâs a metaphor thatâll help you really see why you keep getting in your own way â and what to do about it. Because when your perfectionism handbrake is on, it doesnât matter how motivated or disciplined you are. Youâll still feel behind, burned out, overthinking everything, and wondering why nothing is working.
In this episode, Iâm walking you through what it means to be both the boss and the employee in your business â and how perfectionism can make both of those roles way harder than they need to be. Iâll show you how to start being the kind of boss you actually want to work for (no matter where youâre at right now), and why that shift alone can change everything.
Inside PGSD, we teach you how to be the kind of boss youâd actually like to work for and the kind of employee who gets shit done without burning out.
If youâve been spinning your wheels and wondering what youâre missing, this episode will help you understand whatâs really going on and how to finally get out of your own way.

Power Planning works for entrepreneurs at every level of income, whether you're just starting out, trying to make your first consistent income, or already running a seven-figure business. When your perfectionist mindset is working for you instead of against you, creating time and space for what matters becomes so much easier.
EliĆĄka already had a seven-figure jewellery business when she signed up for Perfectionists Getting Shit Done (PGSD). But she was exhausted. There was no breathing room in her schedule. Her dream of starting a coaching business had been sitting on the backburner for years. And the idea of having a second child felt like too much to handle.
Fast forward to today and EliĆĄka now has two successful businesses and is eight months pregnant with baby number two. Thanks to the changes she made inside PGSD, her husband was able to quit his CEO role to be home with the kids (something they never imagined was possible when she first joined).
In this episode, EliĆĄka shares how Power Planning helped her simplify everything she was doing and finally make time for more. More presence with her family. More connection with her husband. More progress in her business. And, most importantly, more trust in herself to follow through without the all-or-nothing pressure.
We talk about the real changes she experienced in her work and home life, how PGSD helped her feel supported without needing to show up to live coaching calls, and what she would say if you're on the fence about joining.
If you're feeling overwhelmed trying to juggle it all or frustrated that you're not making the progress you know you're capable of, this episode will help you see that itâs not about working harder or being more disciplined. Itâs about learning how to plan in a way that actually works for your perfectionist brain. PGSD gives you the tools, support, and structure to finally follow through without burning out or falling off track when life gets full.

This is Part 5 of my 5-Part Clean Rest Series. I first experimented with clean rest in 2014 (though I didnât have a name for it back then). I just knew I needed a break.
In 2018, after another exhausting launch, I came back to it with intention. I was tired of burning out every time I pushed for a big goal. Something had to change.
Now, clean rest is the backbone of my business. It grounds me. It gives me the courage to put my ideas out there, even when theyâre not perfect. And itâs the reason I havenât burned out in over three years, even while making more money than ever and navigating motherhood.
In this final episode of the clean rest series, Iâm sharing how my own journey with clean rest has evolved and what it looks like for me now - both in business and in life.

This is Part 4 of my 5-Part Clean Rest Series. Thereâs one mindset shift every perfectionist entrepreneur needs to make about clean rest:
Clean rest that doesnât feel good is still clean rest.
Even when youâre feeling bored, restless, agitated, or like you âshouldâ be doing something more productive⊠it still counts.
Clean rest isnât about always feeling peaceful, recharged or inspired. Sometimes it will feel that way. But other times, itâll feel uncomfortable. You might find yourself itching to check your emails or thinking about everything you âshouldâ be doing instead. And thatâs completely normal.
Youâre a human, not a machine. Youâre not supposed to feel happy or motivated 100% of the time. And if youâre judging the quality of your rest based on how it feels, that perfectionist thinking is sneaking in through the back door â making you overthink your time off and work harder to ârest the right way.â
This episode is a coaching call with PGSDer Jenna where we dive into all of this: what actually counts as clean rest, what doesnât, and why itâs still valuable even when it doesnât feel perfect. We talk about the discomfort that can come up when youâre learning to let yourself truly rest, and how clean rest supports you in working towards your business goals without burning yourself out.
If youâve been trying to âdo rest right,â or only allow yourself time off when youâve earned it, this episode is exactly what you need to hear.

This is Part 3 of my 5-Part Clean Rest Series. In the previous episode of my clean rest series, I talked about how working from a to-do list makes it hard to get clean rest.
So what should you do instead?
Where does clean rest go in your calendar and how much of it do you need?
And how do you rest when youâve planned, so you honour your rest?
I answer these questions and give you practical advice in todayâs episode. If youâre wondering how to plan out your clean rest properly each week, listen in.

This is Part 2 of my 5-Part Clean Rest Series. We perfectionists LOVE a good to-do listâŠ
But working from a to-do list makes it really challenging to get enough clean rest - even if youâre making a real effort to have more work-life balance.
And I share the five reasons why - and helpful examples for each reason - in this second episode of my clean rest series. I also talk about why thereâs never any time for rest and why you feel behind when you work from a to-do list.
If you only get a break from your business when youâre busy recovering from burnout, this clean rest series - and todayâs episode in particular - is going to be insanely helpful.

The problem? These are often the exact tasks that will move your business forward. And the longer you put them off, the longer you stay stuck.
In this episode, Iâm sharing exactly why perfectionists procrastinate on non-urgent tasks and, more importantly, how to break free from this pattern so you can start honoring the deadlines you set for yourselfâeven when no one else is watching.
If youâre tired of waiting until the last minute (or never) to take action, this episode is for you.

In this episode, Iâm sharing a powerful snippet from a PGSD coaching call where I coached my client, Arielle, on using Power Planning in a way that actually works for her, instead of against her.
As perfectionists, we often donât realize how our own thinking is making us stuck. We give up right when weâre about to see results. We tell ourselves weâre not doing enough. We feel pressure to plan perfectly, and when we donât, we spiral into overwhelm and inaction.
Thatâs exactly what happened to Arielle. She wanted to use Power Planning but felt unsure whether sheâd be able to âdo it right.â And that hesitation was making planning feel like a struggle instead of a tool to help her.
On this call, I coached Arielle through this mindset block so she could drop the pressure to plan perfectly and start using Power Planning to fully support herself no matter what comes up during the week.
This is why coaching is so valuable for perfectionists. You donât need another to-do list or a new planner. You need to rewire the way you think about planning, productivity, and persistence so that you can actually follow through consistently without burning out.
Inside Perfectionists Getting Shit Done (aka PGSD), youâll get access to weekly group coaching calls where you can get coached on the exact challenges that are keeping you stuck. Youâll also watch other perfectionist entrepreneurs work through the same struggles youâve been facing so you can learn, grow, and take action alongside them.
