I recently went down a rabbit hole on the medicinal herb feverfew. This episode I share with you what i learned.
I started with a PubMed article on feverfew.
Then I had to look at a PubMed article on its active compounds sesquiterpene lactones.
Sesquiterpene lactones are found in the asteraceae family.
Had to go down the asteraceae rabbit hole.
The specific sesquiterpene lactone they found to be anti cancerous was parthenolide.
So, I had to look at PubMed article on parthenolide.
Come down the rabbit hole.
Enjoy.

I share a dream I had. Why are dreams illogical, non sequential and hyper emotional? I have some answers from reading Robert Sapolsky’s “Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers.” I go over some aspects of sleep and how they’re affected by stress. How worrying disrupts your sleep. How our immune system is affected by poor sleep.

What are the implications of raising your children with these lines? There’s an experiment in psychology that can point us in the right direction. The name of this studies publication is “Quantifying compliance and acceptance through public and private social conformity.” It can be found on PubMed. This. This is how we become fascists.

A review of an episode from the 1990’s TV show Dinosaurs. Why? Because it’s a fun kids show that introduces deeper topics that we can use to talk about with our kids. I go into one episode here about a TV network and programming.

Stuff I’ve learned reading “Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers” by Robert Sapolsky. I really wanted to explain how high blood pressure is damaging the body. But, how people used to inject testicle extracts of animals had to be included. 😳

Stanford neuroscientist Robert Sapolsky has a book “Determined: A Science of Life Without Free Will,” which presents a case for there being no free will. I’ve been listening to him a lot lately. Some of what he says reminds me of what these other philosophers have said. I’ll share research that Sapolsky has pointed out. I’ll get off track and give you fun tangential information 😉 Really, though, let’s wonder 🧐 In this episode let’s think deeper about why and how we became who we are?

I’ll tell you what happened in this fight. What Ryan did. How Tank wins. I like noting what is successful. These are notes of success.

Perspective after a year of raising Rio. Ideas that have influenced me and why it is I am the way I am around him.

My best friend from high school and I retell stories from our youth. I condone nothing that you hear. All events are inaccurate and inappropriate. Nobody is real. This is all a dream.
-
A quick reminder why you need to eat more plants.

Future champion (if he wants to fight) Rio taught me something I wanted to share. Our words and our intention behind them are important!

Another short one. The original kilogram weighs less than a kilogram! What does that have to do with our food? Freshness violations. Household tips.
-
Another short one. I never realized how cute babies could be! As a man we want kids not babies. We don’t play with baby dolls. So, how pleasantly surprised I’ve been! 😌
