Pivot
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
To pivot means to turn. In the sport called netball, the action of pivoting is turning with one foot firmly on the ground while the other is helping the body to turn in another direction. So therefore, to pivot your life in faith means to be firmly standing on the foundation of faith in God, while embracing God’s directives. For example, if you are believing for marriage but the spouse you are having faith for is not the spouse God wants for you but, you sure that God wants you to get married. You must keep believing God, even amidst the disappointment, that marriage is not off the table, but not with this person you are trying so desperately to get with. So therefore, it’s time to shift direction and begin to face another direction. -

If you have not dealt with a difficult person yet, be prepared. They are all around us. Some of us can’t evade them. How do you deal with them? Here are some nuggets.

You can’t do life by yourself, you need partnership. In Ephesians 4 vs 16, the Apostle Paul wrote, “each joint supplies.” We don’t all have everything to fufill everything we are called to do so we all need support.

A lot of people are so insecure about themselves that they enter into relationships only to gain power. Power in the sense of feeling better about themselves because someone is in need of them when truly deep down inside they are exploiting that persons weakness. There are people who even get married so they can feel some sense of power over someone to feed their own self doubt.

Pity comes from the need for attention. As children, we could have lacked that attention from our parents or older siblings and it causes you to want someone to feel sorry for you. -
Philippians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
