Two games in 4 games against Düsseldorf with contrasting emotions. Away in Düsseldorf the boys in brown put in fantastic performance, particularly in defence as well as Marcel Hartel continuing his fine form. The midfielder's two goals were enough for a 2-1 win which extends our lead at the top of the 2. Bundesliga to 4 points. On Tuesday FCSP welcomed Düsseldorf to the Millerntor for quarter final clash in the DFB-Pokal. After goalkeeping errors, penalties and a last gasp equaliser, the match went to penalties with Düsseldorf ultimately coming out on top. A tough pill to swallow but we move on to a home match against second placed Greuther Fürth on Saturday.

2. Bundesliga football is back and so are we!
A win over Kaiserslautern at the Millerntor and a loss for Kiel at home Braunschweig means we regain our rightful spot atop the league. In an exciting game, St. Pauli created lots of chances and could / should have converted a few more but they kept a clean sheet despite a couple of really good chances for Kaiserslautern from set pieces. -
Luke & Gunnar discuss somewhat of a mixed bag. St. Pauli are through to the quarter finals of the Pokal thanks to a 4-1 win in Homburg but they struggled away to lowly Osnabrück dropping points to the team that sit bottom of 2. Bundesliga. While the boys in brown did enough to win it, they couldn't take their chances and it finished 1-1. With all that said, we're still top, still unbeaten and through to the next round of the cup. Wiesbaden await in the final match before the winter break.

Snow, flairs, disallowed goals, tifos, a comical own goal & more. Luke & Gunnar discuss a game that had everything but a winner. St. Pauli dominated and should have buried HSV in the first half but a couple of lapses in defence and some individual class by that team from the suburbs means it finished 2-2.
Still top. Still unbeaten. Immer weiter vor! -
After going behind early, St. Pauli score 3 goals in 8 minutes to gain control of the match against our fierce rivals in Rostock. A soft penalty for Hansa led to a chaotic last 15 mins but that was preceded by some exceptional football from the boys in brown. They hung on to take 3 points into the Hamburg derby as first place in the 2. Bundesliga faces off against second place at the Millerntor with much more than bragging rights at stake.
-
Not for the first time this season, football at the Millerntor takes a back seat as discussions centre around a disproportional reaction in response to violence. The 0-0 draw against a Hannover side lacking attacking ambition became somewhat of a non-event due to fighting in the away end and the resulting reaction of police. Luke & Gunnar discuss it all and look ahead to two massive fixtures after the international break.

We just can't stop winning! On Tuesday FCSP got through a tough 120 minutes in the cup against Schalke to reach the last 16 in the DFB Pokal and still had enough left in the tank to roll over an in form Elversberg side on Friday to stay top of the table. Gunnar & Luke revel in the teams recent success and heap praise on the players and coaching staff for this incredible run of results.

We're back! It's been a long time since our last podcast so we have plenty to talk about in the world of FC St. Pauli and in footballing terms, it has almost all been positive. The boys in brown still sit atop the 2. Bundesliga and remain undefeated this season thanks to a 2-1 home win against a stubborn KSC.
-
Trev and Luke are on the pod this week to discuss an exceptional win at the Olympiastadion Berlin that leaves the boys in brown top of the league. After such excellent form and great performances its nothing but positivity about the players, staff and fans with things looking up and the team playing better than ever!
-
We had technical difficulties this week so please excuse the crap audio while Luke and Trev discuss a great 3-1 win at home to Schalke. We also discuss the effect that Eggestein has had on the team, Hartel's fine form and the unsavoury scenes that followed the full time whistle.
-
That's more like it! The run of draws comes to an end in style as five stunning goals from St. Pauli sink Holstein Kiel at the Millerntor. Trev, Gunnar & Luke talk about the unexpected starting 11, the strange statistics, and the important win that leaves the boys in brown 3 points off the top and remaining the only unbeaten team in the league. Thank you to the Ost Schottland Broons in Edinburgh for watching the match with Luke and talking St. Pauli over a few pints.
-
Gunnar & Luke report from Luke's garden this week to discuss St. Pauli's first goal in 360 minutes of league football which was only enough for a 1-1 draw away to Braunschweig. We also discuss new signing Simon Zoller, a horrible injury for Banks and we bid farewell to Afeez Aremu.
-
Gunnar, Trev and Luke try to find new ways of drawing positives from a goalless draw that St. Pauli were once again unfortunate not to win. The third 0-0 in a row for FCSP in the league doesn't justify the performances but goals and a win would are needed against Braunschweig on Friday evening to kickstart our season.
-
A second 0-0 draw in a row for St. Pauli in the league. This time away to Fürth in scorching conditions. Gunnar, Luke and Trev discuss how the heat contributed to a lacklustre attack but our stellar defensive performances continue. The number 9 debate rages on and we look ahead to the next match as 1. FC Magdeburg visit the Millerntor.
-
Luke is a lone wolf on this weeks podcast as he talks to himself about St. Pauli's first home match of the new season against Fortuna Düsseldorf. The stream of St Pauli rambling meanders between the good performance that had everything but a goal, Dapo playing as a striker, Medic moving to Ajax and the signing of Scott Banks.
-
FC St. Pauli start a season full of hope and promise with a convincing 2-1 away to 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Gunnar and Luke analyse the match before discussing the squad with which we are entering the season and identifying any areas that may need reinforcements (spoiler: it's a striker!). We finish up by talking about what expectations the team should have for the season and then a quick look at the season's first home match against Fortuna Düsseldorf.
-
St. Pauli's phenomenal second half of the season ends with a 1-1 draw at home to Karlsruher. The football was inconsequential so Luke, Gunnar & Trev mostly talk about the players we said goodbye to on the final day, possible signings, what shape the club is in for next season and of course we have a laugh at HSV's last minute disappointment thanks to Heidenheim.
-
Even when there's nothing to play for St. Pauli know how to entertain the fans! A nervy end in Kiel but the boys in brown come away with all 3 points. We discuss the match, look ahead to our final match against Karlsruher and deliberate the incomings and outgoings in the transfer window. We also announce the winner of a captains armband signed by Jackson Irvine!
