Born in Toronto, Kapelos is a three-time Canadian Screen Award winner, having been recognized for Best Political News Program or Series (2024) for POWER PLAY; Best Talk Program or Series (2021) for POWER & POLITICS; and Best Live Production Social Media (2020), for CBC's coverage of the B.C. by-election that saw Jagmeet Singh win his seat in Parliament.She also received the 2021 Leitch Lecture Award from the University of Alberta and University of Calgary's Faculties of Law after delivering a lecture on the political effect of the COVID-19 health crisis in Canada.
Kapelos has extensive experience covering federal and provincial politics in Canada. Prior to joining CTV News, Kapelos was host of CBC’s POWER & POLITICS. Previously, she was Global News’ Ottawa Bureau Chief and host of THE WEST BLOCK. Before working in Ottawa, Kapelos covered provincial politics in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Anaida Poilievre is a Venezuelan immigrant, founder of an online magazine for women, an advocate to end human trafficking, a former political advisor, and the spouse of The Honourable Pierre Poilievre, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada running to be the next Prime Minister of Canada.
Born in Caracas, Anaida emigrated to Canada with her family at the age of eight, settling in a working-class neighborhood in the east end of Montreal where she learned French and English. As an adult, she moved to Ottawa to study at the University of Ottawa, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Communications. In 2012, while working at the Senate of Canada, she met Pierre. They married in 2018.
Human Trafficking Advocacy
As a former Parliamentary Affairs Advisor to the Leader of the Senate, Anaida worked on files relating the Criminal Code. Her most important works was to assist in the passage of Bill C-36, the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act in 2014. Since, she has been strong advocate to end and to bring awareness to human trafficking happening here in Canada.

Ana has always fought to empower women wherever she goes. Whether through her work as a political advisor over the years or at Pretty and Smart Co., the magazine she founded, she has always found ways to elevate those around her.

Meaghan Duhamel, 37-year-old mother of two, is a former competitive figure skater who has achieved numerous accolades in her career. She is a 2-time World Champion, Olympic Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist, and a 7-time Canadian National Champion. Meaghan made history as the first and only pair skater to land a throw quad at the Olympics. She also won the CBC reality show, "Battle of the Blades." Meaghan is not only an accomplished athlete but also a passionate vegan and has 2 rescue dogs. Currently, she is a figure skating coach and analyst for CBC, continuing to contribute to her sport even after her retirement as a professional athlete.

Appointed as NSCAD University President in 2022, Dr. Peggy Shannon has a lengthy career serving in teaching and leadership roles in many post-secondary institutions. Prior to joining NSCAD University, she was Dean of the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts at San Diego State University, with prior roles at the University of California at Davis, and Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).
With a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London and a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Washington, Dr. Shannon’s career is a robust blend of administrative and sector roles, having served as Artistic Director of the Sacramento Theatre Company and A Contemporary Theatre in Seattle, and directed multiple plays and productions in Canada and internationally in the U.S., Greece and Australia. This combined focus has developed a desire to prepare students for careers in the creative economy, with real-world problem solving. This also translated into strong connections between post-secondary institutions and wider communities.
Dr. Shannon is the recipient of several research grants, notably a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada grant while at Toronto Metropolitan University, and various Arts Council Grants in Canada and the U.S. She is a Fulbright Senior Specialist and has received several accolades in leadership and arts education.
