And does throwing, snapping clubs, and swearing ever help? This week high scoring host, Michael Beran, is off to the lovely Gulf Harbour course on Auckland’s Whangaparaoa Peninsula to meet one of New Zealand’s top golfers of the 1970s, John Lister.
He might not be as well known as some of his contemporaries like Sir Bob Charles, but John dominated the New Zealand and Australia circuit during the 70s. His four consecutive wins in a professional tour event is a record he shares with Tiger Woods.
John had success in Asia, Europe and the United States winning The 1976 Quad Cities Open which is now known as the John Deere Classic.
Now 74, John still loves the game. He’s a huge fan of Lydia Ko and he first met her as a skipping 7 year old.

However, you are not alone. High scoring host Michael Beran asks some of the world’s best what was their worst hole and does throwing, snapping clubs and swearing ever help. This week we look at worst holes through the eyes of a caddie and no one is more qualified than New Zealand’s Steve Williams.
Caddie for Greg Norman, Raymond Floyd and of course on Tiger Woods' bag for 13 years and 13 majors. He then helped Adam Scott to become the first Australian to win a Masters.
