Continuing our safe place storytelling session, we start in our comfortable reclining position with her bolsters and pillows beneath her shoulders and head. Visualizing ourselves in that safe place in our mind while breathing the equalizing breath. Mindfully inhaling and exhaling the same length of time for several minutes and then just relax and be aware of your normal natural breath and the natural joyful happiness you’ve created.

Happiness is connected to health so deeply that the stories we tell ourselves can cause or ward off a heart attack. Today we beginning our guided story telling and start our healthy story journey. Sitting or lying comfortably with pillows for your back and head, or if you must be walking do so with safely in mind careful not to stumble. Practice on your own later, perhaps just as you are drifting off to sleep in your bed. Schedule 10 minutes each day to go onto this storytelling mode and build in more tangible connection to the experience of the sounds and smells and ambient feelings of body and energy awareness.

Yoga Nidra in its simplest translation is sleeping yoga. More precisely it is a quieted mind and relaxed body meditation done just prior to sleeping. In this state of mind, we connect to intention at the root of programming and discover what may need to change in order to reset our compass. We connect to our Blueprint and rejuvenate our renewal.

Setting your intention is similar to setting the compass on a ship’s pilot control. Where the compass is pointing is the direction that ship will be going. Many people set goals or try self hypnosis of the mind but don’t attain desired results because the mind will not lead the root. The root Intention, your compass, determines the direction of your life.

As we move onto the next step in our inner ear Yoga guided meditation practice will begin to loosen up the bones in her body and visualize the sights and sounds of nature especially as it relates to water, air and plants that are rooted in the ground.
