KNDRX aka Cory Kendricks joins us as his album, Gumbo, slides from 3 days sitting top 10 on the Itunes hip hop charts.
We discuss his journey here, from Portland to ATX and on to Denver, CO where most of Gumbo was created.
We talk about how he had his hands in a lot of places, and stumbled upon a DJ gig backing Griselda's Conway. From there,

From open mic nights in St. Croix to packed residencies in Lake Charles, LA, and finally residing in Austin Texas- Ashes of Babylon has a very unique journey. Their story is felt through the music they created over the course of 8 years; as an 8 piece, 4 part vocal harmony, multi- instrumentalist, big band horn flexing, American reggae/ dancehall fusion (breath) act. We get the details from founding members Corey Saucier, and Jacob "Deebo" Crenshaw, and also some insight as to what ultimately led to the members deciding to take an extended hiatus, at what seemed to be the pinnacle of their career. Robert "Blyne Rob" McQueen aka Rob Quest
of the legendary Odd Squad, and renowned producer for Devin the Dude joins us in Episode 20.-Episode Description-
In Episode 20, we are joined by "Blyne" Rob, also known as Rob Quest from his years with the Odd Squad, and The Coughee Brothaz.
We start by discussing his origins in hip hop, and how his mom and Devin the Dude encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He talks to us about being a blind artist, and how J. Prince of Rap-A-Lot Records helped produce, and promote his image early on.
We slide through his prolific "rock star" years touring with Devin and the Coughee Bros, producing classics, and working with legends like Mike Dean. Rob also gives us game on his production style, and how he has adapted and evolved over his 30 years in the game.
We cap the episode with where Rob is now, and his plans for the future.
Finally, we get a sneak peak into his new collaborative effort with the "Visionaries", a worldwide all-blind producer super group.

Charles “Easy Lee” Peters (@thirdrootmusic) joined us in Episode 17
Easy is a poet, songwriter, MC, and Educator. We begin at the start of his musical career- fusing southern raps with timeless soul music, and his time touring the nation as a member of a signed group, Mo’Joe.
From this point we discuss various ups, and downs that lead Easy to a passionate, and ultimately championed path in education. Finally we arrive at Easy’s current work with Third Root, a project he co-founded with Marco Cervantes (MexStep). We cover their progression, and how they found their sound working with an array of renowned musicians, and producers.
We summarize by acknowleding Easy’s persistance, and how he accomplished a union between his passion for music, and possibly an even greater purpose- as an activist, teacher, and an inspiration.
