Episode 72
It's only a matter of time before human beings become an extra-terrestrial species. As people make plans for permanent settlements on the Moon, Mars, and beyond, what considerations are being made about what kind of society we want to create? How will we prevent our ancient tribalism from ripping us apart when we are one species on multiple planets? Will we even be the same species anymore? What will happen to future human DNA after multiple generations? Will religion still be a compelling force outside of our home planet? All those questions and several shameless plugs for "The Expanse" on the final episode of our space mini-series.

Episode 45
As we begin our miniseries on race and racism in science and religion, we have to start with where we are as individuals and where we have been. It's so easy for us to teach this stuff academically while keeping our own shame and discomfort hidden away, but we're just going to lay it out there. The good, the bad, the painfully misguided, and the beautifully naive. It all weaves together into an open and honest dialogue about the world we inherited and the world we want to bestow. Join us on our Facebook group and tell us your story as well.

Episode 47
The Bible is a dangerous collection of writings, written mostly by people who lived under the oppressive thumb of empire. Ironically, especially in the West, it has been co-opted to support the very same kinds of oppression that the writers were fighting against! In this episode, we explore the ways that we have tried to "tame" the Bible, the stubborn power of the prophets, and how the Black Church in the US has helped us all to rediscover the true power and intent of the "Good Book".

Episode 49
In our first true "crossover" episode, we join forces with the Color Correction Podcast to explore the complicated world of environmental justice. From toxic waste to climate change, we have fought many battles for the sake of the environment, but far too often, we have neglected the human impact of those issues. In this episode, we will talk about soil, water, air, and exploding refineries.

Episode 51
In the final episode of our miniseries on race and racism in science and religion, we welcome special guest Dr Tehia Starker Glass to discuss what anti-racism looks like, and how we can make a difference in education.
She is the Cato College of Education Director of Diversity and Inclusion, and an Associate Professor of Elementary Education and Educational Psychology in the Department of Reading and Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research and publications include preparing preservice and inservice teachers’ culturally responsive teaching self-efficacy, anti-racism curriculum development, culturally responsive classroom management, and exploring how caregivers and teachers discuss race with children. She has published in the Journal of Urban Education, Teachers College Record, and other high-tier journals. She is a former elementary school teacher who now works with teachers, schools, districts, and organizations around the country to revise their instruction and curriculum to be more anti-racism oriented. Currently, she is working on her academic book and a children’s book to assist caregivers and teachers to have conversations about race with children. Additionally, she is an Educational Advisor with Brownicity. She co-designed and is the Director of the four-course Anti-Racism in Urban Education Graduate Certificate Program. She lives in the Charlotte area with her husband and two young boys.
