Meet the HSHV Pet of the week at https://www.hshv.org/petsoftheweek-2/
Meet Nova! This sweet girl is looking for her perfect home! Don't let her age fool you, she still has a lot of spring in her step. Nova would love a home with a lot of energy who is ready and willing to play with her and keep her happy!
She can be a bit of a trouble maker. She loves to explore the world around her, and fences won't slow her down! Nova will need a home that is prepared for an escape artist. Nova will also need a home without other dogs, cats, or children under 12 so she can be your main focus! Nova is ready to start her next big adventure, she is just hoping to share it with her forever family! Come meet her today and start the journey!
Here is a note from her foster mom: “Nova is the easiest dog ever! She is 100% crate trained and potty trained. She is happy to sleep in her crate all night long and is great about asking to go outside first thing in the morning, right before bed, and in the afternoon. We haven’t seen her with kids but she LOVES humans and is incredibly sweet and friendly with new people. She has a lot of energy, especially for a 9 year old and loves to be outside, but seems equally happy sitting on the couch watching TV with us. Overall she is smart, cuddly, and sweet. We’ve been able to leave her home alone outside of her crate for up to 6-7 hours without any issues. Anyone would be so so lucky to have her in their family.”

MAKE MUSIC DAY
AADL is leading the city's efforts for Make Music Day again this year, but in 2025 we're making things a little bigger. We're trying to get homes, businesses, and spaces all over the city to host concerts on their porches, front yards, and storefronts and contribute to a citywide day of live, free music.
It's all taking place Saturday, June 21 and there are two big ways to be part of this.
1) Offer up your home or place of business as a venue. If you know what band will play—great! Book em! If not, AADL can help match bands for your venue.
2) If you're a band or musician who would like to play but don't have a venue lined up, you can sign up and AADL will try and match you with a venue for Make Music Day.

Meet the HSHV Pet of the week at https://www.hshv.org/petsoftheweek-2/
7-year-old Chia arrived in critical condition—dehydrated, dangerously thin, and suffering from multiple abdominal hernias. She needed a rare and expensive surgery to survive, and thanks to very generous supporters like you, she got it!
Today, Chia is healing beautifully —and purring every step of the way. Her journey has been long and complex, and only one thing’s still missing: a loving home! She might do best in a home without small children or other kitties. But she LOVES making friends with older humans. If "Velcro Cat" is your type, 🙂 come meet this lady today and see if your lap is the one for her.
Pet of the Week is sponsored by Mighty Dog Roofing

Meet the HSHV Pet of the week at https://www.hshv.org/petsoftheweek-2/
Meet Tonka! He’s an energetic boy, friendly, confident boy. Here’s what his foster has to say: “He’s super duper sweet and gentle with his toys, and with humans even when he’s excited! He gets along well with kids and dogs so far, though we’re working on leash training because he wants to make so many friends that he pulls a lot. He’s potty trained and doesn’t chew on things in the house. Loves peanut butter and praise.”
We recommend that Tonka go to a home with kids over 5 due to his size and energy level, and that he meet potential doggy siblings beforehand. Please email [email protected] or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today!
He is FREE to adopt if he finds the right match!
All the animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.
