Julia is also the author of Fashion, History, Museums, inventing the display of dress, which explores the history of fashion displays highlighting the continuity of past and present curatorial practices.
The roles museums play in educating us and preserving our history is well known, that is indeed why many people go to museums. An integral part of visiting a museum involves experiencing the exhibits that have painstakingly been sought out, preserved and then presented by highly specialised and trained teams of experts.
