No one missed the Women’s March on Saturday. 4.8 million participated world wide and in Washington DC Kiran Gandhi was one of the half a million protesting outside of the White House. Jane Harman resigned from Congress February 28, 2011 to join the Woodrow Wilson Center as its first female Director, President and CEO. One of the most noteworthy talks during Brilliant Minds was the conversation between TV broadcaster Ronan Farrow and Peek.com co-founder Ruzwana Bashir. In an open and honest conversation they discussed how to handle hard truths in the media by relating to their own difficult experiences. Ruzwana was sexually assaulted in a Pakistani community when she was younger and Ronan's sister was sexually abused by Woody Allen, their father, when she was a girl.

Scott Harrison was the NYC club promotor you would never expect to start a non-profit organization. 10 years later he's running Charity: Water, bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. On stage at Brilliant Minds in June 2016 Scott talked about using VR as a way to get people engaged in the charity. Charity: Water has so far funded 19,819 projects in 24 countries, benefiting over 6.1 million people, raising $200 million.
