The Celtics lay an egg against the new-look Mavericks sans AD. They never had it from the start and no-showed their way to a 127-120 loss that was not nearly as close as the final score would lead you to believe. The Mavs played out of their minds and looked like they might have had a chip on their shoulders and something to prove, whereas the C's looked content after their win over the Cavs and like they were looking ahead to Saturday's showdown in Madison Square Garden. Chud and Doug break it all down, give out their Chuddy Chains, and break down every single deal that happened ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

The Celtics mailed it in for 2 and 1/2 quarters in Philadelphia before roaring back to comeback from down 26 and beat the 76ers, 118-110. The Celtics rallied behind their defense in this one, turning off the water for Philly while the Jays carried the offense. Jayson Tatum hits the last-second game-winner as the Celtics beat the Pelicans 118-116 in New Orleans. The Jays both came to play and Porzingis stuffed the stat sheet but the Pels hung around behind a 40-burger from budding star, Trey Murphy. Chud and Doug break it all down, give out their Chuddy Chains, and discuss their All-Star snubs as they take a trip around the NBA.

The Celtics smacked the Bulls around in TD Garden on Wednesday night, 122-100. Porzingis was on fire from the jump and Jaylen was bullying the tiny Bulls all night. This was a get-right spot for the Celtics and they certainly took advantage. Chud and Doug break it all down, give out their Chuddy Chains, and take a trip around the NBA including a discussion on a new superstar on the trade block.

King Chuddy was in the building to watch his favorite team take on his other favorite team and his favorite player spoiled the show. The Rockets got a last second 114-112 over the Celtics. Amen Thompson hit the game-winner and Dillon Brooks his a career-high 10 threes. Boston battled valiantly without Derrick White, Al Horford, and Sam Hauser but it wasn't quite enough. Chud and Doug break it all down, give out their Chuddy Chains, and take a cruise around the NBA.

It felt like an extension of the 2024 NBA Finals on Saturday as the Celtics picked up right where they left off against the Mavericks, working them on both ends of the court to the tune of a 122-107 victory. Everyone played well in a much-needed balanced attack and the Luka-less Mavs never really had a chance. Chud and Doug break it all down, give out their Chuddy Chains, and take a saunter around the NBA.

The Celtics got punched in the mouth by the Lakers on Thursday night, 117-96. This was as close to a no-show as you'll see as Boston ran out of gas during their 5th game in 7 nights while the Lakers put forward their best performance of the season. It was ugly and tough to watch and things started going sideways early. Doug hits the load management button for this one, so Chud breaks it all down, gives out his Chuddy Chain, and takes a trip around the NBA.

The Celtics went on a late night roller coaster ride against the shorthanded Clippers, pulling out an overtime thriller 117-113. This game had a little bit of everything including an unbelievable, surprise showing by Jaden Springer. It wasn't always pretty and there were plenty of infuriating moments, but the good guys managed to come away victorious. The Celtics choked down the stretch and gave away the game on Saturday night to the Hawks, falling at home, 119-115 in overtime. This was a rockfight, but the Celtics did just enough to win despite a rough shooting night. But one boneheaded play after another down the stretch allowed the Hawks to climb back in it and ultimately pull off the upset. Chud and Doug break it all down, give out their Chuddy Chains, and take a stroll around the NBA.

Is this rock bottom? The Celtics head up to Toronto and lay a dinosaur-sized egg against the Raptors, falling 110-97. The offense was bad, the defense was bad, and so was everything in between. Luckily, there's nowhere to go but up from here. Burn the tape and move on, or cause for panic? Chud and Doug break it all down, give out their Chuddy Chains, and venture around the NBA..

The Celtics narrowly hung on to edge the Pelicans 120-119 on Sunday night. The shooting struggles for Boston continued and they saw a gutsy effort from a suddenly healthier-than-usual Pels squad. There were some uncharacteristic bonehead plays down the stretch that gave NOLA a real chance to steal this one, but the Celts pulled it out by the skin of their teeth. Chud and Doug break it all down, give out their Chuddy Chains, and take a saunter around the NBA.

The Celtics went up against the class of the Western Conference on Sunday and got all they could handle. The Thunder came out on top, 105-92. OKC's defense was the story of the game as they completely turned off Boston's water after the half. The Celtics were only able to muster 15 points in the 3rd quarter and 12 in the 4th as they watched this one slip away against a swarming Thunder D. Even on the second night of a back-to-back, the Celtics looked like the fresher team, beating Ime Udoka and the Rockets in Houston, 109-86. The Celtics win an instant classic in Minnesota, 118-115. JB and KP were out but Tatum put on an MVP caliber performance, dominating the game in every facet. Boston also had a great defensive gameplan, limiting Anthony Edwards to one of his worst games of the season. The T-Wolves fought back and got an incredible shooting night, but it wasn't enough to top the Celtics who started off this tough road trip on the right foot. The Celtics beat the absolute bag out of the Raptors, 125-71 to send out 2024 in style. They got off to a slow start, but absolutely erupted in the 3rd quarter to turn this one into a New Year's Eve laugher. The shooting was better, the defense was better, and the opponent was very clearly inferior. It was a great way to close out a great year and a nice send-off before a daunting road trip that lies ahead. Chud breaks it all down and offers a New Year's resolution for the NBA and Celtics fans.
