  • Millie Florence, a homeschool graduate, is coming out with another book: Beyond Mulberry Glen. Her latest book will be released January 2025 by Sarah Mackenzie's Publishing House, Waxwing Books. In Carrie's first conversation with Millie, “Another Approach To Writing,” they talked about Millie's love of writing and how she published several books before she graduated high school. That episode is full of advice for aspiring writers (and reluctant writers) and for moms who are looking for different ways to approach writing in their home education. Make sure you listen to it after you listen to this episode!

In this conversation, Carrie picks Millie's brain on how to use good literature, including her new book, Beyond Mulberry Glen, to teach important life lessons about values, faith, and relationships. Carrie often changed the lyrics from the musical, Oliver, to "Coffee, glorious Coffee..."

Does your child love to sing and dance? Do you have an artistic teen? Are you looking for a way for your children to express themselves (or to help them come out of their shells)? Then try musical theatre! In this episode, Carrie shares:

  • Sometimes moms get caught up in the idea of how they think things are suppose to look like when homeschooling, instead of accepting the way things are actually going in their homeschooling. Home education can be both perfect and perfectly imperfect all at the same time! Perfectly imperfect is a great way to describe Carrie's walk with the Lord, her family, and even her homeschooling style. In this week's episode, Carrie encourages moms to "keep on keeping on" even when there are messy days, challenging seasons, and even months of second guessing. Carrie shares why it is ok for our homeschooling to be perfectly imperfect.
