BioBorn in Kansas City and raised in Los Angeles, Megashia Jackson is a comedian, musician, model, motivational speaker and mother of three who has overcome a multitude of challenges to become the woman she is today.
At the tender age of four, a babysitter poured hot water on her as punishment for being too noisy. She received second and third degree burns over fifty percent of her body, was taken away from her mother, hospitalized and in recovery for over a year. When she was finally well enough to go to school, she was mercilessly teased about her burn scars. But she had two secret weapons: a mind of steel and laughter. After learning âfire breathingâ techniques as a way to deal with her physical pain, Megashia wasnât affected by the hurtful taunts of her classmates. And when she realized that laughter was the best way to fight her bullies, she became the class clown and started to develop her gift for comedy.
Megashiaâs grandmother owned a record store, and she was exposed to many genres of music there. She soon began to pursue her own musical interests, playing brass instruments in several school bands before settling on her true love â percussion. A career in music was put on hold when she had children and needed to do something more practical.
Coming from a long line of beauticians, Megashia decided to go to cosmetology school. It turns out she also had a talent for making her clients look and feel beautiful, opening a thriving hair salon and creating a line of hair care products.
Today Megashiaâs biggest goal is to inspire other women. She completed the leadership program at A New Way of Life, an organization helping formerly incarcerated women reconnect with their purpose. She is an ordained minister specializing in the Ministry of Music, using traditional African Drumming and healing principles to uplift and connect with women who are going through their own challenges. She composed and recorded jazz inspired songs for the First Womanâs Churchâs Music Ministry and drummed for campaigns supporting immigrantsâ rights and prison reform. She is also an active participant in Toastmasters International, winning awards for her use of humor in her speeches. She enjoys speaking to young women about self-care and increasing self-esteem.

Purchase Book - Beyond the Cosmic Edge
Bio
Born on May 12, 1984, in a small village in Russia, surrounded by the untamed beauty of nature, the youngest of three siblings grew up immersed in a world of imagination. With a mother dedicated to nursing and a father working in the agricultural sector, a strong work ethic and deep appreciation for human connection were instilled early on. However, it was the vast fields and whispering forests that left the deepest imprint, serving as both playground and muse. With few children of the same age nearby, storytelling became a refugeâcrafted from dreams, nature, and a boundless sense of adventure.Moving to the city for school opened new doors, uncovering a passion for literature, Buddhism, and psychology. Studying English and German further deepened an understanding of human nature, enriching a growing ability to create layered, compelling characters. The love of storytelling evolved into a desire to bring those narratives to life on screen, leading to an entry into the film industry. The journey began humblyâworking as a talent assistant, fetching tea and coffeeâwhile closely observing the intricate process of filmmaking. Every small task became an opportunity to absorb knowledge, watching how costumes, lighting, props, and camera work blended to create cinematic magic. Progressing through various roles, the ability to understand peopleâtheir emotions, motivations, and dreamsâbecame the strongest asset. Eventually, working as a second assistant director provided an even deeper insight into the art of storytelling, refining skills in pacing, conflict, and resolution.Despite gaining experience, the ambition to create personal stories grew stronger, leading to the bold decision to move to Hollywood. Initial struggles made the journey difficultâtaking on various jobs like babysitting, dishwashing, and assisting in different companiesâwhile the passion for filmmaking remained unwavering. Visits to film sets and theaters served as a reminder of where true belonging lay: within the heart of storytelling.Returning to writing, old manuscripts filled with ideas reignited inspiration. One concept, born from a friend's fear of joining a street dance community, stood out. It led to the creation of Fear as a characterâone that danced alongside her, embodying internal struggles. This idea transformed into a short film, later shared with producer Mark Buntzman, whose belief in the project was a pivotal moment. Conversations over tea with Mark and his wife, Jenya, centered on overcoming fears, shaping not only the work but the entire storytelling approach.Fueled by this support, the concept expanded into an entire universe, culminating in a completed book. Years of refinement followed, including edits and cover design, all while continuing to build the story into a film and series concept alongside a husband and creative partner. The second and third parts of the story took shape, solidifying the vision. In 2024, with the arrival of a child, work briefly slowed but never stopped. Now, with renewed focus, preparations are underway to launch the campaign for the first book, with full confidence that the story will one day make its way to the big screen. Through the power of storytelling, the journey continuesâone of adventure, courage, and the unwavering pursuit of turning imagination into reality.

Lyrical Chris, the visionary behind the groundbreaking 5D Rap genre, introduces Level 5âa track radiating positivity, high vibrations, and an elevated state of mind. With a mission to empower and uplift, Level 5 invites listeners into a space of peace, affirmations, and pure energy, redefining the way music connects to the soul.Explaining the inspiration behind the song, Lyrical Chris shares, â5D Rap is about stepping into the fifth dimensionâa place of peace, joy, and high vibrations. I wanted to create a song that brings that heavenly energy to Earth, where people can affirm, âIâm never tired. Iâm loving the times.â Itâs about making the choice to live at a higher frequency.âThrough themes of self-affirmation and inner strength, Level 5 encourages listeners to rise above negativity by being intentional about what they consumeâphysically, emotionally, and mentally. âWhat you drink, who youâre around, the energy you let inâall of it shapes your vibration. If you surround yourself with positivity, you elevate to that Level 5 state of mind,â he explains.More than just a song, Level 5 is a movement. It serves as a cornerstone of Lyrical Chrisâs debut album, Prewrite, a project designed to unfold like a musical essay. âEach album is a paragraph, and every song is a sentence in a bigger message,â he reveals. âPrewrite is the introduction, setting the stage for whatâs to come.âThe creation of 5D Rap stems from Lyrical Chrisâs personal journey growing up in Unionville, Georgia, where rap often carried negative connotations. Determined to shift the narrative, he crafted a sound that blends clean, uplifting messages with undeniable energy. âI wanted to prove that rap can be powerful without being materialistic or destructive,â he says. His ultimate goal? To inspire change. âItâs bigger than musicâitâs about paving the way for future generations. If you want to rise above tough situations, you have to make the right choices and set the example,â he emphasizes. With Level 5, Lyrical Chris extends an open invitation: embrace joy, choose a higher frequency, and step into a reality where positivity reigns. South Florida-based singer-songwriter Leah Dibut begins 2025 with a powerful new chapter in her career, releasing her latest single, âThank You.â Blending her signature mix of pop and R&B with raw emotion and storytelling, Dibutâs new track delivers an empowering message of resilience and self-love.
ââThank Youâ came from a very personal place,â Leah shared. âI went through a moment in my life where I felt impacted by someone in a way that shook me, and I knew I needed to write this song for myself. That purpose really comes through in the lyrics.â
Leah Dibutâs voice, known for its velvety tone and soulful delivery, brings a dynamic range of emotions to âThank You.â Reflecting on the creative process, she said, âOne of my favorite elements of the song is how it feels. From the subtle storytelling of the first verse to how the intensity builds as the song progresses, itâs an elevation of emotion that I love.â
Creating the single wasnât without its challenges. Leah worked closely with a trusted collaborator who understood her vision. âFinding the right words was tough,â she admitted. âYou have so many feelings running through you, and itâs hard to put them into words. But having someone whoâs been through similar experiences helped bring everything together.â
The music video for âThank Youâ is a visual representation of Leahâs evolution as an artist. Working with her mother to conceptualize the visuals, Leah embraced a darker, edgier aesthetic. âWe wanted to capture something different, something I hadnât done before,â she explained. âIt was about bringing out the edginess inside of me, and thatâs reflected in everythingâfrom the colors to the roaring â20s-inspired hairstyle.â
Although Leah is rebranding as an independent artist after signing with Mr305 Records in 2023, her commitment to authenticity remains unwavering. She credits her time with the label for teaching her how to balance artistry with personal life, lessons she now applies to her independent career. âI learned so much during that timeâabout myself, being in the studio, and balancing being an artist with being a normal person. That was a major highlight in my career.â
When asked what she hopes listeners take from the single, Leah emphasized the importance of vulnerability and self-expression. âI want people to know that Iâm just as human as they are. I get frustrated, I donât always get along with people, and thatâs okay. My message is that itâs cool to say whateverâs on your mind and to feel those emotionsâthatâs what makes us human.â
As she continues to evolve as an artist, Leahâs focus remains on building a strong connection with her audience. âI want to be their voice,â she said passionately. âWhatever theyâre going through, I want them to know Iâm here for them. I want a strong relationship with my listeners because weâre all in this together.â
Leah Dibutâs âThank Youâ is more than just a songâitâs a declaration of empowerment and a reminder of the power of resilience. Available now on all major streaming platforms, Thank You marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Leahâs journey.

Since its debut, the band has undergone a complete sound evolution. The Reckless

drums. Within months, John Kelly joined on guitar to complete the group.
âOur sound has become more advanced with our current crew,â shares Fritz Fayman.
âEveryone is doing more to the songâitâs not just me writing everything. Everyone is

amongst all our band members. Weâre each figuring out what weâre good at and
combining influences and sounds to reach our potential and continued potential.â

members to create the robust, authentic, and captivating sound found in their latest EP,
Who Are You.
The band is committed to releasing new music every 3-4 months to connect with their
growing fanbase. âWe started making singles for content and creating new music as we
worked to nail down our sound as a group,â shares Fayman. âWe were practicing for two
hours twice a week to make sure we were the best band we could be at live shows.â
Their effort has paid off, as demonstrated by captivated audiences during their
powerhouse performances.
Who Are You combines four unique songs into one memorable EP. The titular single,
âWho Are Youâ opens the stage, followed by the rock anthem âDo it for Free,â the pop-
punk banger âHome,â the reimagined throwback song âGO ON,â and the thoughtful
finale âRemember Me.â Each song contributes a new layer of complexity to the groupâs
sound, which comes together with Fritzâs emotive singing from track to track.
The headline track, âWho Are Youâ began as a riff Fritz put together. âI brought it to the
band and asked what they thought. The song turned out to be an example of the whole
band working together. Riff, base line, drum bits⊠we each contributed our part.â
âThe EP is a great example of how much weâve grown,â adds Fayman. âThere is such a
difference between our first EP and the newer EP that demonstrates our ability to
evolve.â
âWho Are Youâ was born from a casual exploratory session, during which Fritz Fayman
developed a riff in drop d tuningâinspired by some of the more metal bands Fritz had
recently been listening toâthat was heavy yet simple. Playing around, he created a
rough outline of the song and brought the band in to contribute their thoughts.
âIt brought out the vibe of a walkout song for a baseball pitcher,â explains Fayman. âItâs
about to go down right now. That excitement from the feeling of watching your favorite
player walking out.â The drumbeat was created using rim shots (outer edges of the
drum), followed by a heavy bass sound. Then came the addition of a guitar riff.
âAs we played more, the song came together. Intro. Verse. Lyrics. We took inspiration
from a post we made where we got our first kind of hate comment. We laughed because
weâd made it with that first hate comment.â As Fayman explains, itâs not about the
people writing hateful comments, rather about getting past negativity and writing a great
song to counter what they were saying.
âItâs an angry, upbeat, powerful song,â he adds. âItâs a great example of everything The
Reckless is capable of and does with its wide variety of dynamic shifts, hard-hitting
moments, pauses, and impactful lyrics. Iâm really proud of that song.â
At the end of the day, The Reckless wants listeners to know that itâs worth giving your
passion a shotâand really trying your best. Theyâre excited to keep entertaining live
audiences and giving music lovers a chance to unwind and feel free to express
themselves. Listeners can look forward to more music from The Reckless in the coming
months.
