"Our journey begins in the 5th century AD, a time of great migrations and upheaval. The Roman Empire had recently withdrawn from Britain, leaving the land open to new influences and settlers. It was during this period that the Anglo-Saxons, a collection of tribes from what are now Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands, began to make their way across the North Sea to the British Isles.
The Anglo-Saxons were not a single unified group, but rather a mix of peoples, including the Angles, Saxons, and Jutes. Each brought with them their own dialects, which would eventually blend and evolve to form what we now call Old English.

Welcome to my weekly "English with Nab Podcast," this week we are going to talk about Living and Working with AI.
In November 2022, a revolutionary new tool was made available to everyone with an internet connection at no cost. A generative form of language-based artificial intelligence known as CHAT-GPT entered the world, and was taken up by 100 million people more quickly than any other product in history.
CHAT-GPT represents a new generation of AI, one in which AI technology functions as co-intelligence. This means that rather than following more procedural and repetitive processes as previous iterations of AI have, CHAT-GPT emulates human thinking patterns. Its generative, flexible functionality is transforming not only how we humans approach work, it's also having a profound impact on how quickly complex tasks are achieved, in some cases increasing productivity by 60%.
And this new generative AI isn't just making its mark on the workplace. Everything from education to entertainment is feeling the effects of artificial intelligence. No one knows exactly what the future holds, especially as AI continues to outperform expectations and behave in surprising and unanticipated ways.

Poets got it all wrong: falling in love is easy; staying in love is the difficult part. According to most psychologists “the average lifespan of a romantic obsession is two years.” Afterward, as most married people know, it’s all just routine.
The reason for this is simple: the physiological part of love hormones, infatuation, the need to be in someone’s company naturally fades with time. And if you want to transform this in-love experience into something bigger that is, lifelong real love you need to learn to communicate your feelings with your partner.
Achieving this is synonymous with mastering your partner's love language.

Remember that time you talked to that friend about the differences between short-term and long-term memory? You probably don’t! We don’t blame you, we can hardly remember what we had for lunch yesterday. The book for today – appropriately titled “Unlimited Memory” – is written by someone who remembers not only all of his last week’s meals but also about 10,000 digits of Pi!
Kevin Horsley is a professional speaker, learning assistant, an International Grand Master of Memory, and twice a Memory World Record holder. He’s right when he says that whether it is because of tomorrow’s exam or because of your wife’s anniversary, “memory is the cornerstone of our existence. It determines the quality of our decisions and, therefore, our entire life!”
Fortunately, like so many other things, memory isn’t something we’re born with, but a tool that can be sharpened. Therefore, Horsley’s very actionable book offers many different ways on how you can do this.
Let’s have a look at the most attention-grabbing ones.

This exacerbates their inability to focus or retain information. Yet despite less available attention and the changing landscape, traditional forms of communication haven’t evolved. Professional communications continue pumping out verbose emails, articles, and books as if it were still 1980. The result is billions of wasted words.
