  • In this episode, we dive deep into the topic of trauma and intergenerational trauma with Carla Shohet, one of my colleagues in the field of trauma and narcissistic abuse recovery.

In this episode, we explore the importance of breaking intergenerational cycles of trauma and the significance of healing ourselves on a somatic level. We talk about the role of the nervous system in processing trauma and how we can work towards healing and reconnecting with our authentic selves.

We also discuss how family dynamics can often mimic cult-like behavior, and how understanding these patterns can be the key to unlocking our personal growth and healing.

Our aim is to provide various perspectives and valuable insights into how we can move forward in our journey towards healing and breaking free from the chains of intergenerational trauma.

  • Welcome to this very first episode where I have a conversation with my dear friend Samasati Kiya (aka Sama). We met in a cult, hopped into other cults, and luckily got out and supported each other on our recovery journey.

Sama was groomed at the age of 17 into a romantic relationship with a cult leader and his small following. We dive into various topics, from spiritual abuse to trauma to embracing your rage with pink boxing gloves.

Samasati is a registered therapeutic counselor and professional Vedic astrologer living in Victoria, BC, Canada. She is also a two-time cult survivor and specializes in working with fellow survivors of cults and narcissistic abuse.
