Ella Bruno has lived a long story of broken friendships. In this interview, she and I talk about that journey: lessons learned, perspective that comes from age, and reflections of a teen on her generation. I hope it is encouraging even as it's heart breaking. This would probably be a good one to share with your daughter.

We're talking about cultivating faith in our daughters, especially if they don't like or have a church, youth group, or para church group. Beth talks with Bethany Beal, co-founder of Girl Defined Ministries a popular YouTube channel, conference, podcast and book series for young Christian women.
As you listen, consider:
Do you know of a young woman who could serve as a mentor?
What are the positive messages you and/or daughter hear and listen to? What is God's view? Do you see this as a stumbling block for faith?
Do you feel equipped to have hard conversations about sexuality, identity, and more with her? What can you do to feel more prepared?

Rebecca is the author of Why I Didn't Rebel: A Twenty-Two-Year-Old Explains Why She Stayed on the Straight and Narrow-- and How Your Kids Can Too. While there are PLENTY of things our girls face with peers, perhaps one of the best ways to help her combat the pressure is to be the kind of mom and create the kind of home where she's just not interested "in all that." I think you'll hear in this conversation some helpful insight that Rebecca and 25 other young adults' stories yielded. I think you'll also find hope!
