Tay is on the pod this week, and he and Gabrielle have some big f%cking news! No, Gabrielle is not pregnant again. Tay has come onboard as co-author of Gabrielle’s next FML book, ‘Finding You Through Finding Me,’ and so starts the collaborative and sometimes contentious journey of working with your spouse on a creative project. (Couples everywhere, we know you can relate.) They touch on the emotional difficulty of writing about past traumas and think about the day when their kids will be old enough to read this. What will they think? It’s an honest and heartfelt episode looking at the challenges and rewards of writing about your life and very relatable truths.

Tired of feeling f%cking defeated when it comes to dating? In this episode, dating coach and relationship expert Lilli Bewley joins Gabrielle to break down four painfully relatable dating archetypes that shape how we show up in all relationships—not just dating. Forget swiping and dating “rules”—this is about the real you. From the Chill Woman (who seems easy going but craves more) to the guarded Fortress, the high-standard Goddess who intimidates, and the Magnetic Woman radiating inner confidence, Lilli shares the journey from "dating f%cking sucks" to "dating actually works." Whether you're single or settled, tune in to find your archetype and transform how you move through life!

Gabrielle is back with a solo episode this week! She dives into her recent break from social media, resulting in a much f%cking needed mental health reset to combat the late-night doom scrolls that she was feeling trapped in. Not only did she get some quality family time, which was great for the soul, she feels more reconnected to herself and is better equipped to deal with feelings of comparison she was having from seeing other people’s lives on social media. (Don’t we all need this?) Lastly, she reads a submitted FML’er story about love lost but wisdom gained, reiterating the need to trust your own judgement at all times.

Beloved psychotherapist Terri Cole is back by popular demand, and boy does she knock our f%cking socks off with this episode! Terri and Gabrielle break down what an HFC (high-functioning codependent) person is—essentially someone who feels compelled to over-invest in their friends or families emotional/financial/spiritual wellbeing at the expense of their own happiness and peace. Terri provides insights into the emotional labor involved in maintaining relationships this way, leading to blurred boundaries, exhaustion, and eventual burnout. Gabrielle shares her own experiences with control and trust, finding it easier to give help than to receive it—a hallmark of HFCs. The episode concludes with ways to flip the narrative, including embracing your own vulnerabilities and prioritizing self-care to find these much-needed healthier interactions. It’s a must-listen episode for anyone who resonates with these situations—you don’t want to miss it!

This week’s episode explores the concept of generational trauma, healing, and breaking out of the f%cking victim mentality. Gabrielle is joined by Judy Wilkins Smith, a renowned systemic executive coach and author of the book ‘Coding Your Emotional Blueprint’. Judy explains how trauma responses can be passed down through generations of family history—inherited even by those who did not experience these events directly. It’s all part of how our emotional landscape is shaped, and it adds a fascinating layer of understanding to how we react to situations in our lives. They also dive into the impact of social media and how we often glamourize our own suffering, adding that while validation of trauma is important, we can’t get trapped in that victim mentality, and it’s essential to flip the perspective to celebrate your resilience. This episode is packed with eye-opening insights you don’t want to miss!

Somewhere, someone has said that a major part of a great relationship is the ability to uncontrollably f%cking laugh with each other. In that case, consider that box DOUBLE checked this week for Tay and Gabrielle! We swear that no one is high in this episode, just extremely sleep deprived (Hi Tay!), as they both giggle, chuckle, and belly laugh their way through the last week’s adventures in parenthood. From Stone cutting his finger (he’s ok!) to Tay’s very, very eclectic musical tastes to Gabrielle’s use of some light TikTok deception—it’s all here this week! They wrap up the episode by answering some FML’er questions about what their best date would be, any past relationship regrets, and who you’d want to be stranded on a desert island with. Tune in to find out!

This episode is for all the f%cking co-parents out there. This week, Gabrielle sits down with Dr. Courtney Evans, a divorce and co-parenting coach, as they discuss the complexities of co-parenting, particularly in toxic situations. Dr. Evans has seen both sides of the equation as she’s been through her own divorce (which stayed amicable) as well as her current husband’s divorce and subsequent custody battle (which was extremely toxic and wildly expensive). Seeing an opportunity to help others, Dr. Evans drew on her experience from the healthcare system to develop her coaching business, where she now advises clients through their own divorces, separations, and co-parenting situations. In toxic environments, Dr. Evans advocates for a mindset shift to deal with the emotional toll and reduce conflict, as well as focusing on personal healing to reach a more positive state of wellbeing. No one ever said co-parenting was easy, but Dr. Evans' approach may just be the playbook you need!
Dr. Courtney Evans Bio:
Dr. Courtney is wife-mom-stepmom-DNP-soon to be published author who also happens to be an experienced divorce coach and co-parenting mentor. Her two decade career in the healthcare field has lent to her deep understanding of human behavior, mental health, and the importance of self-care during challenging life transitions. With her expertise in healthcare, coupled with her coaching education and personal experience dealing with a high conflict co-parenting dynamic, Courtney is uniquely equipped to provide support in surviving the emotional impact of divorce. Courtney shares how she survived her own divorce and is navigating the subsequent co-parenting journey. She is also a co-survivor of a lengthy, expensive, custody battle riddled with false allegation and alienation tactics. She survived it all… ungracefully… but is rising from the ashes of what was meant to destroy her and is writing one hell of a comeback story.

Buckle up, FML'ers, this is a f%cking wild one! Gabrielle sits down with Nikole Mitchell, who became a viral sensation after a profile in the New York Post described her as a pastor-turned-stripper (and yes, that’s her true life story!). As sensational as the headline is, the truth is much more nuanced, and Nikole openly shares her journey from one end of the spectrum to the other. Nikole dives into what that transition was like for herself, her family, and her friends, revealing that there were some really tough moments along the way as a lot of people in her circle struggled to understand the choices she’d made. But now, she feels so much more comfortable in her new identity as a queer content creator, and bonus, she’s been able to give her kids a better life with the added personal and financial success she’s found. This episode is all about body positivity and personal growth and really shines a light on what it means to truly embrace the person you feel you are deep inside!

This week, Susie Evans from season 26 joins Gabrielle to spill the tea on life during and after the show, sharing her incredible journey from shy teenager to Bachelor contestant with all the ups and downs along the way. The journey included relationships with some real lying, cheating a**holes, which Susie dives into and describes how she now has a zero-tolerance policy for any dishonesty in a relationship. As anyone who follows Bachelor Nation knows, Susie’s also recently been through a very public breakup, but thankfully is on the road to recovery and is focusing on personal pursuits. One of which is a new podcast (check out Gabrielle as a guest on it!) that delves into 'the intriguing world of relationships gone awry' and bills itself as a place to be ‘enlightened, entertained, and empowered’. F%ck yeah, we love it!

Get a f%cking bottle ready to pop for this solo episode, everyone, because it’s September 4th! FML’ers will know the significance of this date already, but to those who don't, it’s the date that two big things happened for Gabrielle. 1) The date of her first wedding, which, as we know, went down in flames, and 2) the date she left for her first Eat Pray FML trip, which launched her book as well as her healing journey. Gabrielle has been reflecting a lot lately this past week after last week’s emotional episode and received some amazing and encouraging responses not just from friends but from FML’ers too. She’s realized that there is still some fear of a pattern repeating that she saw her mom go through (having her career side-swiped), and that’s been really challenging to reconcile. But with some supportive advice from past guests, Gabrielle emphasizes that we’re not doomed to the same fate as our parents and reminds us that our inner child has the power to break cycles and reach new heights. She wraps up with an FML story about a mom dealing with a sh*tty baby daddy but celebrating the joy she now has with her newborn son.

This week, Gabrielle sits down with Lily Womble, a former matchmaker turned dating expert. Growing up in the South, Lily’s self-worth was tied to her relationship status, often leading her into relationships that weren’t right for her. After moving to New York and achieving success at a top matchmaking firm, she found herself in a series of toxic situations and realized she was far from practicing what she preached. At her breaking point, Lily left her job and launched DateBrazen, where she flipped the f%cking script on her dating approach. By embracing self-compassion and ditching rigid checklists, she opened herself up to new possibilities. What a f%cking year it’s been! With Stone turning 1 soon, Gabrielle shares some thoughts in this solo episode on how parenting has been going now that he’s in his toddler stage (parents of toddlers, we see you and you got this) and gives some major props to stay-at-home moms, who probably have the hardest job of all of us. She also shares her thoughts on the latest Love Island drama, which is juicy AF for all the folks who haven’t seen it yet (spoiler: don’t trust Rob), and links that to her own experience with toxic partners. Gabrielle closes the episode with a wild and hilarious story from one of her FML’ers that includes green slime, a tragic house fire, and a rose vibrator. Honestly, where else could you put those three things together other than on FML Talk?! We love it, and we think you will too!

This week, Gabrielle talks to Alexa West about the incredible lessons learned from over a decade of solo travel around the world. It all started with $200 in her pocket, no return ticket, and a big f%cking leap of faith. But, that was 10 years and 12 books ago, though, so it's safe to say things have turned out okay! In 2017, Alexa self-published her first travel guide, “The Solo Girl’s Travel Guide,” which is now the #1 selling travel guide book series for women. And she hasn’t stopped writing since! Alexa touches on favorite destinations (get your pen and paper ready to write these gems down), safety tips while traveling, and how to still solo travel while in a relationship. It's an episode that has us dreaming of island vibes and delicious food and makes us want to pack our bags asap and get on the f%ckin plane!!

We get personal this week and stay right on the f%cking healing train as Gabrielle sits down for a one-on-one with therapist Brooke Spahn to discuss the power of EMDR therapy. EMDR stands for ‘Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing’ and Brooke shares some amazing insights into how it’s helped her clients reclaim their lives (and beliefs about themselves) from difficult traumas in their past. In a nutshell, EMDR aims to help reframe a person’s negative belief about a traumatic event and turn it into a positive affirmation, hopefully giving them some much-needed relief from the painful memory. Gabrielle touches on how both she and Tay have traumatic events from their childhood and how EMDR could be beneficial for both of them when they’re ready. Brooke then reminds us that this therapy is part of an overall healing practice that stresses the importance of trust and openness, so always make sure you’re ready to go there first! It’s another fascinating deep dive into one of the many healing options out there. Enjoy!

Tay is back and he’s got a hot f%cking take on the recent family trip to Portugal! Touching on everything from surviving multiple flights with a very overtired baby to having one of the best meals of his life, Tay also reflects on meeting the traveling group of FMLers and how incredibly positive that experience was. Meanwhile, through the haze of his parent’s sleep deprivation, baby Stone takes his first steps and has his first dip in the ocean! Woohoo! It’s a feel-good moment for both Gabrielle and Tay, who also reflect on the fact that there’s nothing like an overseas trip with a baby to test a relationship, and thankfully they both agree that they passed the f%cking test. They wrap up the episode with some listener questions that tackle self-care routines, favorite travel destinations (spoiler: Portugal is very high on the list), and will they have another baby?? This week’s episode is all about the f%cking phenomenal healing powers of sensuality. Gabrielle invites Liz Letchford to chat with us about her unique journey from doctor of sports medicine to dominatrix student to founder of ‘Body Church’ - a groundbreaking new healing practice that incorporates creative physical movement with emotional and spiritual well-being. Liz explains that she was frustrated with situations where medical professionals couldn’t explain the physical symptoms she had, which launched her on her journey of studying sensation as medicine to try and find the answers she wasn’t getting. It’s a fascinating deep dive into how we can challenge our own limiting beliefs about ourselves, while safely exploring techniques that confront and ultimately heal any past traumas our bodies are holding on to.
