    Sometimes, it's just that simple.

Other times it may be a bit more complicated but at the end of the day if you have goals, somedays you will need to just suck it up and show up.

Not every day will be super exciting, and that's ok. What is exciting is the culmination of many days, weeks and months of consistency working towards your goal. When you finally reach it, the feeling will be euphoric. Others around you will say it just happened over night, but you will know deep down that it took those days, months, and years of hard work, to achieve your goal. That's a sense of pride I hope everyone gets to feel at least once in their life.

This week Nate and Liz discuss brain power. No we're not talking about college degrees or doing well in school, we're talking about powerlifting. Though doing well in school is good, today we're talking on how training your mind can result in massive gains on the platform and onto your total. After you build to a certain level of strength, powerlifting becomes almost entirely a mental game. In this episode Nate and Liz breakdown their individual approaches to mentally preparing to lift heavy weights right up to their pre ritual routine. We hope some of this information can help you prepare for your next heavy session and be sure to stick around for the wild 1v1 at the end, Gorilla vs Grizzly.

Nate and Liz discuss how to overcome obstacles during your training. Just like everyone else, we don't get paid to compete in powerlifting, as such sometime we have to work around things happening in our life to make sure we can still progress in our powerlifting training. One of the key things we talk about in this episode is communication. Communication between the coach/athlete is essential for success.
