For most of us, if we want to love the people in our lives well, it requires that we wake up early.
Waking up earlier means we get alone time to spend in prayer and studying the word; it means we get time to align with Christ before we begin to pour out.
In this week's Forward Five, Nick shares how he established the discipline of waking up early. For a while, Nick was waking up at 4am - now he consistently wakes up at 5am.
In this short episode, Nick shares the value of waking up early and practical tips that might be simple, but they actually work.

Negativity isnât from God. Negative thoughts make us doubt Godâs promises for us instead of us choosing to trust Him.
Start controlling your thoughts by implementing these two simple changes:
- Start believing the best (1 Corinthians 13:7)
- Start thinking "I get to do this" NOT "I have to do this."More from Forward Conversations:

There is no greater gift you can give to your marriage than to pray for it.
So, then, why do so many of us wait to pray until things are desperate?
Our marriages need our consistent prayers because there is an enemy who is consistently trying to divide us. Let us not be naive to the enemy's schemes but instead get on our knees and pray for our spouses!
If Jesus, while with His disciples on earth, saw the power and importance in praying for them - that God would protect them - how much more so should we be praying for God to protect our spouses and our marriages?
In this episode, Nick and Amaris share a powerful example of what it looks like to pray for our marriages & how we to specifically pray for our spouses.

Counseling while you're dating.
Premarital Counseling.
Marriage Counseling.Nick and I are PRO-counseling no matter what season your relationship is in!
Marriage counseling is a weapon that protects your marriage from the temptation of divorce - but itâs also a safety-net that maintains the quality of your marriage before divorce is ever a real consideration.
How to tell if you need counseling?
Youâre not making progress on a specific issue or are struggling to forgive You are holding offenses from years pasts Youâre not seeing eye-to-eye on an essential issue. The same issues repeatedly come up. Your communication isnât good. Your fighting isnât safe (you yell, cuss, throw accusations, always end up in tears, or donât fight fair) Youâre not having sex - one partner isnât happy with the sex. Youâre not agreeing on how to parent. Youâre experiencing a major life change.Where to go to receive counseling:
Your church pastors (we highly recommend going to both the husband and wife pastoral team).
A Christian counselor or therapist.
A professional Christian marriage coach.More from Forward Conversations:

Within every man lingers the underlying question:
"Do I have what it takes?"Yet, so often, we as wives forget to meet the emotional and relational needs of our husbands.
As long as they are fed (and given sex!) we forget to give them the encouragement and support that they long for.
But our husbands need our emotional stability, our intentional affirmation, and our warmth that assures them: "You can do it! I believe in you!"
Your husband wants to come home to a life-giving wife - it's time we learn how to make a life-giving home.

In Galatians 1:6 Paul says that he is shocked at how quickly they were turning to another gospel.
And while it might seem like a far-off idea to many Christians - many Christians are not experiencing what Christ has called them to because they have intentionally or unintentionally believed another gospel.
Itâs easy in America to think that the gospel is about our comfort and putting us back in control - there are so many messages preached that refer to this.
In this week's episode, we expose the lies, and address the heart concerning the danger of believing âanother gospel.âMore from Forward Conversations:
