We have finally arrived to a discussion about the final film of the Saw franchise, Jigsaw. Though this is the most recent film that has come out, we have many reasons to believe that there are more to come. Jigsaw, released on May 14, 2021, was written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger and directed by the man, the myth, and the legend, Darren Lynn Bousman. Chris Rock joins us as the lead role as he plays a detective pursuing a jigsaw impersonator. Join us as we talk about how this film left us feeling as we step away from the Saw Franchise temporarily and eagerly await the next chapter of this story.

Would you have guessed it? Saw: The Final Chapter was by no means a final chapter of anything. Just 7 years after that release, Jigsaw came out in 2017 and is the first and only film in the Saw Franchise that we see directed by the Spierig brothers. This film, starring Matt Passmore, Tobin Bell, Callum Keith Rennie, and Hannah Emily Anderson, is an attempt to close up some loose ends that were created with Saw: The Final Chapter, which was released in 2010. Join us as we discuss how this film scratched the itch that we had been experiencing since the last release we got to experience.

Being the third and final film written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan in the series, the team wraps up the intricate story of Detective Hoffman and what his role was in the story of Jigsaw. Join us as we discuss and contemplate the concept of the notorious Jigsaw apprentice.

Here is another episode for you folks! In this episode we talk about Saw 5. Dare I say one of us is not a huge fan of this one? All in all, the storyline is becoming more complicated and we have some strong opinions about it. Saw 5 is directed by David Hackl, who was the lead of production design in the three films that came before it. But, this is the first and last film that he directed for the franchise. The film was released on October 24th, 2008 and was written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, the second of the three films they wrote for the franchise. Listen and get the scoop for how we feel about the direction the franchise is heading with the release of this movie.
