Lauren Cassimatis, Director of Gallant Law, has a fascinating position as a criminal lawyer, representing all kinds of serious & severe criminals who habve done truly terrible things. The outlook that she has formed on the human condition, as well as reflecting on what causes people to undertake such atrocities is so interesting, and it led us down a path of pondering over what contributes towards someone's personality & choices in life.
We also talk about her desire to support & nurture, which has shone in her 'CLM movement which has gained thousands of supporters as she helps women in law to look after themselves as humans.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The level of power that this lad conveys his passion with is quite visceral. Godwin Hili is a fashion designer with a purpose way greater than just clothes (although they have been featured on red carpets all over the world).
He uses fashion design to bring out the very best in those who go to him, getting to know the subject & aligning energies so that the pieces he designs goes on a journey with his customer. I felt the power that is undeniable in him, & you will too.

Obvious world statement - we are quick to judge people!
Since beginning her business in buyer advocacy 'Wallace Advocates', Emily Wallace has copped more than her fair share, and yet keeps turning up with such a consistency that it has won her a tremendous amount of support.
We chat about how our upbringing affects who we become, traits that can either help or hinder us, Emily's psychology behind her social media work, and how she has an endless amount of focus on what she does.
Such an impressive human, and a fantastic example that lots of younger professionals could follow!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This is one of my favourite episodes so far, & it needs bringing back to your attention because of a topic of conversation that keeps arising.
I've had a lot of conversations around the art or skill of receiving. Whether it's compliments, critisicm, praise, adoration, achievement...we all suck at it! And it is subtly become an enormous issue in society.
As understated as he is brilliant, Scott Bateman is a human that has a tremendous level of depth, and yet makes you feel like he's been your mate for years. The founder of Kolmeo, a revolutionary platform that is removing friction from the rental space for both professionals and consumers, Scott is a guy who took ownership of himself & has maximised every opportunity he's worked hard to get.
We challenge a couple of common notions around knowledge, but then we come across this whole issue around receiving, and Scott brings us some incredible insight into something that receives little attention, but needs massive focus.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Success Curious is my first book, and is out this week! I've had a lot of people talk to me about their aspirations of writing their own book, so I figured that, on the eve of the official launch date, I'll take you through the realities of writing a book.
It's not easy, it has you questioning yourself, but...the benefits are incredible of you go through with it!
It has changed me, it's helped me to understand who I really am AND ACCEPT IT, and it has freed up my mind to go to the next phase of my evolution.

I genuinely didn't see this conversation going the way it did...but man am I glad we went there!
Dana Walton is a well-travelled salesperson, spreading her time across mutliple sectors but settled at Realty Assist. Through her various roles, she has become an incredible networker and I thought we were going to dig into that...however after my first real question the whole chat changed.
If there's one thing that Dana is really renowned for, it's how she always shows up with amazing energy and fabulous positivity. She's phenomenally consistent with it, & when I asked her why that was, Dana was gracious enough to open up on some personal tragedies that formed who she is today.
Her superpower arrived in the worst of ways, and we're all better off for having her share her stories.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

How many of you feel that you could make it, that you have the skills to make it, and yet...you don't make it?
Peter Schravemade is, quite simply, one of the sharpest, & solid humans I've had the fortune to chat to. Despite being the MD of REACH, which is a Venture Capital fund targeting technology in Real Estate, he makes it very clear that it is the HUMAN trait of 'self-belief' that separates the projects that make it from the ones that don't.
If you have issues with believing in yourself, then you simply HAVE to listen to this. This chat explores the topic of self-belief in a number of different directions, & I've re-listened to it myself more than once because of how much I got from it.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Mel Thomas could be defined by tragedy, and would be forgiven for that given the shit she's gone through. But the inspiration that she has become, and the influence that she has generated is grounded in a self-worth that is woven into her DNA.
Founder of the KYUP! Project, Mel has a mission to bring attention, awareness & action towards domestic violence, which incredibly still has a massive lack of focus from official channels & institutions. Her focus on building worth in those who have suffered & struggled with it lead us to have an amazing conversation & contemplation about the whole topic around worth/self-worth, which has had me seriously reflecting personally around the whole concept of worth. Honestly, it has sparked something in me, so marinade on this chat.
Warning - DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! As elegant as Mel is, she is also a 2-time Australian Champion Black Belt!

When my publisher recommended that I chat to Steve Palise, I wasn't sure what to expect because here was a guy that looked very corporate, very driven, founder of Palise Property and the author of 2 published books around residential & commercial investing...basically mega-focussed!
What I connected to was all of the above, but encased in a guy who has his life priorities absolutely nailed! Steve has a thriving business, but never works past 4pm, spends months travelling with his young family, and makes his income work for him as opposed to the other way around. Philisophically-minded, his altruistic viewpoint on life in quite brilliant, and this conversation has us talking about why we should question standard societal frameworks, and why doing that can open doors to a life that we never thought would be possible.

If there's one thing I've learned about my friendship with Justin Nickerson, it is that there is very little that phases this guy! Justin epitomises the fact that when you find where your worth belongs, incredible things happen around you and for you. 3-time Australaisian Auctioneering Champion, he is the most decorated auctioneer in Australian history (and we are the auction capital of the world!), but when you listen to him it is obvious that he doesn't forget who he is and how solid his moral compass is. It is the philosophy that he has built Apollo Auctions with, which is why it is statistically the biggest & most deocrated auctioneering firm in Australia & New Zealand.
When you listen to this chat, recognise that you don't need to be all razzle dazzle in order to be successful, as long as you have a focus to make the very most of the skills & value that you have within you...you'll be just fine!

When someone puts onto their very serious LinkedIn profile that they are a 'bumfluencer'...then you can't help but become intrigued! Author of '6 Figures While You Sleep' and '6 Figures During School Hours', Kate Toon is an absolute diamond personality, with a knack for giving little to no care as to what people say about her. Unassumingly brilliant, this conversation smashes through the need to care about what people think, as well as being so relaxed in its intellectual trip that really does make you reflect a bit on how much you're missing out on by fitting in.
One of my favourie chats. And you'll find out what a bumflencer is too!

Amanda is one of those people that you see everywhere...and wherever you see her she's in a room worth being in! The director of Highspec Properties Buyers Agents, Amanda started by helping one person to find that ideal home, and since then Amanda has established herself as one of the most trusted voices in ANY industry!
We have an amazing chat about her trip to get to this point, current challenges in people, and you won't need to pay too much attention to realise that there are ways in which you can win by being true to who you are.

Put simply - If you listen to Emily Heath properly, your life gets better. With a PhD in Behavioural Neuroscience, and a propensity to bring analytical thinking to emotional problems, Emily brings an ability to bring science into the equation in order to make the world a better place emotionally.
A lot of the time our anxiety comes from the inability to understand why we feel the way we do, or why we take certain actions over other options that we know would be better for us, and Emily brings her amazing intellect to us to demystify a lot of that anxiety.
We also get a little philosophical and make the concept of reality that little bit more tangible! Incredible, incredible mind, and one that we all need to pay more attention to.

Chatting to Avi Khan immediately relaxes you - he's calm, measured, and very easy to connect with. But behind this chilled out demeanour lies a tremendously sharp mind, a hunger to keep pushing boundaries, and a mindset that is constantly evolving and growing. What this chat will help you to see is that by keeping things straightforward in your head, the possibilities are endless as long as you put in the effort to see them through.
I'm really glad I got to connect with Avi and learn about the various tentacles of his AKG operation and how they came to be. It's sounds hectic, but when you talk to Avi you kinda feel like anything could actually be within reach, such is his strong & positive energy.

Put simply, Dominic Thurbon is a chap who thinks and observes the world in a wonderfully brilliant way.. Dom works to bring high-level intellect to help solve real world problems, particularly around behavioural change;
This chat talks about Good vs Evil in high performance, how faith can alter people's perception of it, the necessary art of conversation and how we can talk more productively in work. We take macro-issues in society & relate it to the differences between behaviours and who we are at our core.
I feel clever just by talking to this guy. Legend.

What better way to bring up 50 episodes than with one of the best humans and one of the great motivational speakers in the world, Paul McGee! Author of the worldwide best-selling book 'SUMO - Shut Up, Move On', Paul & I exchange ideas on how success is broadcast by voices of influence, how it needs to evolve & the responsibility that leadership has to bring greater practicality to the energy that is so short-lived in humans if not actioned. Paul opens up about his own very vulnerable moments, including how he talked about his required 'hippo time', as well as how the context of one's life needs to be acknowledged, and appreciating the positives within our environment when it comes to the concept of success.
We also talk about how people can use 'motivational' talks & knowledge to a much better extent, and how we can all take the information heard in motivational speeches and interpret it in a 'No bulls**t' way that actually helps us!
What a human. I could listen to him for hours.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The trip that Adrian Knowles has been on to get to this position in life is one that shows how much you can transfer the passion for one thing into another, and still create success with the same core principles. The CEO of Harcourts Australia, Adrian has overseen a distinct culture shift, starting with ensuring that there is a strong organisational chain of command, much like that of the military which he felt destined for as a child.
A keen student of Stoicism, we geek out a touch as we talk through Adrian's transitions through his career, as well as discussing how important his boundaries are when protecting the time with his family who are clearly the most important humans in his life. Top man, top chat, and we dig into a couple of philosophies that are well-worth exploring.

Authenticity is such an over-used term. But when you see the way in which Hermione Gardiner lives, operates & supports those around her, you are reminded as to how bloody important it is! The founder of Sidekick PM, Hermione is a model example of persistence, not just informing her clients as to how to build & succeed in property management, but also as she navigates the ever-interesting journey of being a business owner and a Mum.
This candid chat had Hermione talking about her guilt as a parent, but also her determination to be an amazing leader in both work and life.

I'm not sure if I'm going to sound very obvious here, but our memory plays a part in almost everything that we do! This conversation with the brilliant Tansel Ali highlighted how many parts of our lives could improve if we worked on improving our memory! This chat blew my mind, but it also showed how simple it could be to improve sections of your life if you focus on one fundamental function.
Tansel is unassuming, but his 4 Australian memory titles demonstrate that connecting with this guy would make your life better, and the work that he talks about with younger people really does shoe the value that he brings to the world.
Make sure you check him out if you haven't already seen him on TV! https://www.tanselali.com/
